It seems like yesterday
But it was long ago
Ginny was lovely, she was the star of my dreams
There at Hogwarts, with the DA, layin' low
The thoughts I wished to share
The things I wanted to tell her
As I stared at her across the room
But she was dating that guy, Michel Corner
And then she dumped him, and then Dean too
When we got together, I wished it wouldn't end
I remember how she held me oh so tight
Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then
Against the dark
We were fightin' against the dark
We were young and strong, we were fightin'

As the years rolled slowly past
And I found myself alone
Surrounded by Death Eaters I had thought were my friends
I went longer and longer without a home of my own
