TNG TURNS 20!

Time for another anniversary, this time for Star Trek: The Next Generation! In this new article we look back on the now-legendary show that gave Trek a new life and remains strong in the eyes of fans to this day. But its beginnings were by no means a sure thing! Gene Roddenberry's new show took a huge risk appearing in first-run syndication before it was popular, but the experiment worked. And how! TNG reignited the flame for Trek on TV and without it there wouldn't have been a DS9, Voyager or Enterprise. In this piece, author Larry Nemecek looks back on the show's legacy.
