In the past few weeks it has occured to me that the state of primary health care is more than rediculous.
And I'm not talking about hospital waiting lists. Waiting lists for the doctors (13 days for an appointment here, if you've had a stroke and need an emergancy appointment, well you'll have to wait til this afternoon, sorry if you die) or dentists (several years if you're lucky and don't mind going private).
Can anyone explain why they don't just hire a few more doctors, nurses and import/encourage a few more dentists from Poland? It seems simple enough to me, spend a little on primary health care and there will be less complications leading to people needing expensive treatment in hospital. Hey, you might even save money.
