Ah...I remember my first pair. A pair of bright lime green high tops-R.I.P. I now own many pairs such as: Blue fuzzy high tops, silky plum colored high tops, graffiti high tops, black flaming high tops, and the newest addition- brown patchwork low-tops.
I like high tops because they help supprort my relatively weak ankles and I really dont have much of a problem with them having no arch. plus, chucks are great for marching band practice.

Yes they are great for band practice heart lol i have no problem with them.i had black ones but they died..noo..>_<

i love chucks. im wearing a pair of them right now. they are all black and they look like my dog gota hold of them. i cant wear them in the rain. too many holes. xd

Despite the aesthetic value of Chuck Taylors, I must say they are very uncomfortable shoes.

They give me cramps in my arches if I run in them.

My chucks are still pretty new. Black, white rubber, neon green laces. -^^- I adore them. And while they don't give arch support, they do have excellent ankle support. I know a middle aged man who wears nothing by sandals and chucks for that reason.
