Alright. So I recently be found out (that will be 8 days ago) that My Chemical Romance is coming to Norway. Not only are they my favorite band. They're my ******** heroes. And I'm sure they're yours as well. I might not know any of them, but they mean the world to me. They ******** save lives, and have saved mine from misery a lot of times. Their music is the best, it's unique. It's something so precious to me that when I got to know that they were coming here, I shed tears of joy. It's my biggest wish coming true. I'm actually going to see my heroes in flesh and blood. And you know what? They're having the concert on June 26th, which is also ... my ******** 18th birthday. I couldn't have wished for a better birthday.
As I am very much looking forward too it, I'm a bit afraid too. I've been to concerts before, the first time when I was twelve, and went to see my current obsession back then: Westlife. I stood there, shaky legged as the boys entered the stage. I was a huge fan of Westlife as a kid, but MCR means a lot more to me than Westlife ever have. And I'm afraid I might pass out, start to cry, or something like that. I know it sounds extremely silly, but I can randomly start to cry or get dizzy just by the thought of their show on my birthday. So that makes me a bit afraid of how I will react when I actually see them.
It's all so ... huge. I'm going to see our boys. I'm actually going to see the men that has had most influence on my life so far.
Sorry about the blabbering, I'm just so excited!
Anyways, for the sake of discussion:
arrow How did you/think you will react the first time you went/you're going to one of MCR's shows? arrow How did you/think you will react the first time you got to know you were going to one?

When my best friend and I found out that they were comin to Wisconsin, we were freaking out because we love their music so much. I love their lyrics, the band themselves, how close they are. They helped me change my life around too, when Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge came out, I was touched by their songs.
Eventually the concert came, it was me, my best friend and another one of our friends. We went right into the pit (it was a small-ish theatre, which was awesome) and made our way. Eventually, MCR came on with The End.
"Come on, come all to this tragic affair. Wipe off that make up what`s in is despair. So throw on the black dress mixed in with the lot, you might wake up and notice you`re someone you`re not. If you look in the mirror and don`t like what you see, you might find out first hand what it`s like to be me. So gather round, piggies and kiss this good bye. I`d encourage your smiles I`ll expect you won`t cry!"
The curtian drops and there they were. The most amazing people in the world. And I was not even 10 feet from them. (I would have been closer if I brought tinsel. D smile But anyways, it was amazing. Utterly, it was breath taking. I sung along to all their songs. I cried when they sang Cancer, only a little though. Then they went out, and of course, an encore was brought up. They sang Helena, the first song that I ever heard from them. I cried, so hard and sang along. It was.. unbelieve able. It was so pretty.
And I hope you have lots of fun at the concert! You won`t regret it, believe me. <3

When I realised I was going it was SO awesome. I'd already got a ticket to the show they were touring in (Big Day Out), but they also did heaps of little shows by themselves in smaller venues.
Originally the show they were doing was 18+ and I was really pissed off because I was really looking forward to seeing a longer show with just their songs as opposed to a 50 minute set. Then due to ridiculous demand and uproar (we're talking petitions and stuff) they ended up changing to all-ages and so I think the feeling was amplified since I originally thought that I wouldn't be able to see them.
Actually seeing them was just so fantastic (this was only a couple of weeks ago so I still smile like a lunatic every time I think of it). I agree: You get the best birthday EVER. Try to get into the front row - usually means lining up really early (I guess it'll depend how many fans in your area).
Hey maybe if you have a sign or something saying it's your B'Day Gerard'll acknowledge you or sing Happy Birthday? smile He's done it before - though admitedly it was a guy they knew who was on tour with them (a roadie or manager or something) In any case, I know I'll forget by then, but I hope you have an AWESOME birthday (how could you not?! lol) Happy Birthday mrgreen

I'm gonna line up really early, just to be sure, even if means hours upon hours of waiting. It will all be worth it. I am so going to stand in the front row.
Haha, I actually thought of that, and I think I'd die of shock if suddenly Gerard pointed at me or something and started to sing Happy Birthday. But it would be really awesome. And if not, I could always tell him later on, if they come out to talk to us. But as far as I know, they usually do. Although I wonder if I'll be able to talk. XD
And I just found out that I'm going to Roskilde, a festival in Denmark, which is like about two weeks after the show ... and MCR is coming there too! So I'll get to see them TWICE in TWO weeks!

I went to my first My Chem concert in October '05 and I thought I'd be all cool and nonchalant but when I actually got there I started to hyperventalate and almost passed out before I even got inside the gates ^^;
Im going to their concert tomorrow night with my boyfriend and I already know that Im going to be a complete wreck.
