I'd just like to know... What makes a vampire? Will anyone explain that to me?
Mythology:
Traditionally and in its simplest form a vampire is a form of undead that maintains its eternal life by feeding on the blood (and therefore life force or "vitae") of others. There are many rumours as to the origins of vampires. They can just be someone so evil (or a slain werewolf) that the devil gives life to again. Another 'theory' (as used in the White Wolf rpgs) was that Caine was cursed to be the first vampire after slaying Abel, and all are now descended from him.
Many cultures on earth have vampire myths, including the Eastern 'Hopping Vampire'.
(Which is really bizarre. If you get bitten, you can stop yourself becoming one by hopping a lot).
Real Life:Either things which drink blood for food, like vampire bats and mosquitoes.
The term vampire can also be used to describes that subsect of goth who fantasise about vampires and/or drink blood anyway.
Because it tastes nice!
