Ok, so we all remember the entire rap metal fiasco of the mid - late 90's... well those of us over 15 do anyway.
Well I have to say between the fight between Rage and Bizkit fans, alot of damn good rap metal bands like Reveille got lost in the fall out. Which is a shame, because they really are a damn good band.
Ok so call me a fake, a poser, a scenester... whatever, I don't rightly care.
The simple fact is, I like rap (ala. N.W.A., Public Enemy not 50pence) and I like metal (Skinlab, Clawfinger etc.) So rap metal to me, is one of the better genres and I think its about time for a revival. There are still Rap Metal bands out there, and they need our attention. Ok so about 80% of them are weak Bizkit imitations, but the other 20% are genuinely trying to make music that represents who they are, by recombining, what used to go hand in hand (don't believe me? Funny how most rap acts of the early 90's featured original performance guitar solo's and collabs. with metal bands). Ahhhh but I side track... The point is, look behind the big picture of baseball caps, Durst-ites, and rebel teenagers (#**** you I won't tidy my bedroom.# lol) who think RatM are singing about them. There is a good genre out there, and its dying because of the fallout caused by all those big bands.

I'm a fan of rap-metal myself.
Though I lean more to the SubNoize and Psychopathic stuff.
Corporate Avenger's my favorite of the genre.

Yes!
Someone else actually knows the genre of rap-metal exists. I had a back-and-forth argument going for weeks in another thread with someone who argued that the genre didn't exist, and that there are ONLY 12 subgenres of metal.

I don't like that much rap metal... Bloodhound Gang is pretty much the only group from that genre that I'll listen to.

yes gil its true...there are only 12 sub genres of metal stare . although there are plenty of sub genres of the subgenres, which may be confusing to many people who do not understand Metal.
Rap Metal doesnt exist. Limp, Rage, bloodhound gang are rock. Limp, is just Rock, Rage is Industrial, and i beleive the Blood Gang are also industrial. they lack all the requirements to be metal.
im not going to argue about that now though unless someone wants to...but im going to try and stay on topic and pretend that the thread was just labeled wrong.
all those bands were pretty good and i do enjoy their music. i have three RATM Albums, two Bloodhound Gang albulms and like three Limp albums(i forget how they spell it so im going to stop at limp).
