Question- New Star Trek movie rumor

I have a question. Recently I heard on Entertainment tonight that there might be a new Star trek movie and that they managed to get William Shatner. I cannot really confirm this but this what I recently heard.

There is supposed to be a new movie out next year. its' supposedly going to be about kirk and spock a the academy. j.j abhrams is behind the project. shatner and nimoy both have been approached to appear in the movie.

As long as they don't undo what was done in Generations, because I love that movie, and un-killing Kirk would be very classless.

And it's set in the wrong timeline for them to "Unkill" Kirk. they're in the Acadamy, young peoples.

As much as I've heard, it's pretty much a flashback to Kirk and Spock's days at the academy. But I only read a small clip on a news thing, so I don't how accurate that it.

This movie may have potential, but I can only hope that they will not suffer bad writing and mess it up.
