Well, I was 13 when I first went to warped tour and thats when i saw them. It varies from person to person. If it was a 13 year old like how i was, then yea. A 13 year old like the friend who went with me...nope o.o not in a million years XD

The very first concert I went to was an N SYNC concert.I was like 9. My little brother and I were mondo fans, and there were alot of people there, but my daddy took us so we were OK.Now Im 14(which is like a kajillion years old).He approves of MCR,but wouldnt go to a concert. Hed make one of my older brothers or cousins go. By all means, let anybody of any age go,but just make sure the younger ones have someone older to go with them, because you never know what can happen. Better safe than sorry, and better paranoid tha dead. Rock safe!!!

Sure, why not? My best friend is now 14 ... she was either 12 or had just turned 13 when she last saw MCR, I can't remember. My neighbors just moved out but there was a girl who lived there named Tabitha who was 12 and she saw mychem for the first time on Halloween, and that was a REALLY bitchy crowd that night. Not so much rough, there just happened to be a lot of jerks there. She had a great time and is going back to see them in March.
It REALLY does depend on the person, and the venue, and the crowd that night. Because the experience varies from concert to concert. The crowd will be really rough one night, and the next you'll wonder if everyone's asleep. -shrug- Generally, though, if you don't think that 13 year old can handle it, you know them better than I do. Don't take them. But if you think they're responsible and can handle themselves, well then what are you waiting for? Life is short. You can get hit by a bus tomorrow, so go to a concert tonight. I was 15 when I went to my first concert (Warped Tour). I wish I had gotten to go at least the year before. I don't get to go to that many concerts, so each one, I really cherish. My friend does 40+ a year, and I wish I could do that but financially I can't, so I don't.
Tell your 13 year old to stay out of the mosh pit. The pit is one thing, and that's fine. The mosh pit is another, for a 13 year old oftentimes it'll be too much for them. Try to get there early. A barrier spot is wonderful and is great for younger people who might otherwise be too short to see farther back, or who just need that bar to hang on to. Tell them to go with the crowd when it sways, but to not let yourself fall over. If you need out, tell people to let you out. It's MCR fans, folks. They'll usually get you out. If no one will, tell them you're about to throw up. They WILL help you out then, lol.
My brother is 12 years old and has been to four concerts ... I think two of them have been MCR, but I can't really remember. Nnng...I know he was at the Halloween show but aside from that I don't remember. You want me to be honest? He's not stupid, but I don't consider him to be the most responsible person on the planet. We got in, I went with my friends, and I don't really know what happened to everyone else that had been in our group but didn't go into the same area of the pit as us. Before the show we set a meeting place outside. After the show, everyone met up there. No one got hurt. My brother and Tabitha, the two twelve year olds in the lot, were COMPLETELY FINE. And they were in the pit, same as us. I think Christine got a black eye .... she's 21. But that's no big deal. I sorta wish it were me. Eh, we were all sore the next day but if you feel okay after a concert, you didn't have a good time. That's what I go by.
Ah, and I don't mean this post as saying yeah, let any 13 year old go, don't stay with them during the concert, and let them wander away from you in the pit. I -do- think it's a good idea to set up a meeting place afterwards, just in case, but otherwise, if you're doubtful enough to be asking 'should this person go?' then DEFINITELY, be smart about it, and stick with your kid. The above is just how we, my family, do it, as an example that yes, kids CAN go to concerts and get by just fine, but not meant to push you towards doing the same if your kid can't handle it.
Be safe!
