Well you have to remember that not every person in the world is going to like what you like. The only way people can learn seems to be by asking questions. I would feel a little put down if someone wouldnt listen to what i have to say (which happens alot to me) but i deal with it and eventuly things are dropped and sometimes forgotten. There is a book out called "Living Successfully with Screwed-Up People" by Elizabeth B. Brown, I read a few pages from it and it is actualy interesting.

"Petty" is the word for this. I hate people that stereotype.

Most adults or people who don't listen to that type of music will act like that.
My stepdad says he hates MCR because they sing about suicide and stuff like that. He's know nothing about them obviously, and now he owes me two shirts for losing a bet XDDD

I hate people stereotyping me. I have finally decided to dye my hair black... I've always wanted black hair... even when I was a little kid... but my friend has decided to couple this with MCR and deduce that I am becoming an emo... b***h.

Awhile back, my mom (who hates MCR) and I were going to start a bank account at the store, so she could take me to Target to get the CD. She just happened to mention that we were heading off to buy a CD to the lady at the desk, and she asked what band. Obviously, I had to reply, because my mom always forgets to put in the "My", and as it turned out, the lady thought they were very good.
See now, I didn't run across a bad reaction from the woman at the store, but my mom does't like them. Period. Has no reason to, every time I try to tell her there's nothing wrong with them, she says they're nothing but a bunch of drugged up old gay men.
Honestly, makes me so angry.
Was quite a joy seeing the look on my mom's face when the lady said they were good, and she's getting madder because my uncles like it, too.
Kills me when they judge someone, someones, or something just because they won't listen to a single bit about them.
