3:30AM he met a girl named sandy,
stilletos, jewels and a piece of eye candy.

They spent the night wrapped in eachothers arms,
He kept her safe, thinking he could find no harm.

"FINALLY" he said "I FOUND TRUE LOVE AT LAST",
Not knowing that the girl he loved would be his last

Days went went by,and yet no trace of sandy,
stilletos,jewels,he missed his eye candy,

Till one day he found her next to a ditch,
Battered and bruised like a no good snitch,
Written across her body was "WORTHLESS- b***h"

Took her to the hospital to get some attention,
Doctor said she had a fracture and a severe concussion

The Doctor said this so obscene,
He asked the doctor "What is it that you mean?,
DR said "We get whores a weekly scene"

He visited her everynight thinking he could change her obsession,
Beatings and sex everynight was her profession

Her pimp got 70% of what she made,
T'was a heavy price he paid,-
for now his respect for women began to fade

He began to ask"Are all woman like this",like Sandy-
Stilletos, jewels just a piece of eye candy?

Wrote this for an assignment in my speech class. I think it's pretty good. A poem that was supposed to be for 9-11 rememberance

Echoes of The Lost

Unquantifiable losses were felt to this date
when all the forces of tyranny
struck with their own accord
creating instead of havoc
creating instead of pain and misery
a strength that binds us together
unity.

Remember those who were lost
behind their echoes
behind their tattered and torn souls
there was a loving grandmother
who cared for her grandkids like they were her own
who even today smelled as sweet and pure as the day
when she picked them up from school...
there was a war hero
who saved his best friend from a terrible fate
who never left a man behind
even when it meant his own life...
there was a fireman
who was fresh from college
who was a father
when it meant being there to see his son's baseball game
above all else
there was hope
which gave us back our ability to care
which tied and bound this nation in its darkest hour.

The putrid acts of hate
will forever tarnish and stain our hearts
let not the bitter taste of revenge
echo into your spirit
let the sweet taste of freedom
cloud all hate
let it wrap you up
inside a velvet blanket of strength.

That together we may not give up
and in the glory of all
we may show them that we mean
to teach them the hardest lesson of all
that on this Earth
whenever someone causes pain and harm to another
it will not parish
it will not relent
it will continue its pursuit
and in the glory of the red white and blue
the eagle's cry can forever be heard.

For in life and in death
the souls that have fought and lost
to brave this nation
will never disgrace
the name and reputation
of the greatest civilization to ever touch
the surface of this planet
for when the epochs turn and tear themselves asunder
the glory of all that lights our hearts
will be our greatest shining beacon of hope for all time to come.
