It's...hm. It was promising, but it feels strangely 'GCSE'. I think it's the voice over person's intonation and his very basic sentences, at least in part.

Anyone else seen it?

Most of the programs the BBC produces are a bit 'GCSE.' Was watching that 'Hip Hop Honeys' one and just felt enraged by the presenter. 'I studied this sort of thing at uni.' Big deal, you studied Feminism at uni, so have a lot of people, but at least SHOW your understanding of the theory and confront and challenge the people you interview.

Horizon went down the pan years ago, to be slightly more on topic. I remember when it used to be a lot more scientific, now it tends to report on silly trends/personal stories.

It's interesting that there is so much in this thread about only watching American shows in Britain, while in America there has been a lot of chatter about how all we do is copy British shows and air them here.

Nonsense, American television was for a good while there vastly superior to Brit tv. Shows like the Battlestar Reboot, House, Always Sunny were far better than anything coming from these islands, though it does seem as if American shows are now taking a downturn and becoming very by-the-numbers again, while there have been a few tentative attempts at good tv by Britain recently.

Anyone watch 10 O'Clock Live last night? Very amatuerish I felt.

It hurts my soul that even drek like Being Human is considered prime for a remake in the US -- starring Sam Witwer of all people.

I don't subscribe to television. Why should I when I can watch for free on the internet? I rarely watch anyway as I'm not a fan of the medium. I'm far happier playing games...they're interactive rather than passive.
