I know the guild has a history of thread-hijacking and stuff but I'm beginning to feel, and I'm just the dissenting public so feel free to ignore me, that it could do with cleaning up.

I wholeheartedly agree. And I try to avoid turning serious threads into spam, the one exception being the music hread, although I ahve agreed to stop spamming that now.
That's why certain spam threads exist, to allow those who wish to spam some kind of an outlet for it. Those who do not wish to participate in spam never have to see it again in the GBG if they avoid the spam threads.

I said before we need purges. Or rather, the whole guild needs a clean. It can't physically be done though WITHOUT ANY MODS. One man alone cannot control a guild this large. And freakishly strange. neutral

That makes me think. The web isn't really a physical thing. More mental.

I wouldn't say it was mental, but either way I think there should be a clean-up and that will require mods, but it's not my decision to make.

Of course, it is ultimately up to Francis. I suggested we could hold Mod elections, however it is his choice really.
