He's now well enough to be transferred to a hospital in Bristol, somewhat nearer the family home. The consultant neurologist is estimating 6 months for him to be back to his old self.
The Beeb has postponed the new series of Top Gear "indefinitely", but also says this is only until Richard is well enough to present the studio segments. We shall see how indefinite this becomes...
The Air Ambulance got so many donations, it's using them to kickstart its fundraising for a new chopper to cover South Yorkshire. They're up to £152k on the Just Giving website, despite the £50k individual donation being declined...

Guess which one? smile First time I read the report, I thought they meant the one 100 yards down the road from me, but alas not.
I was sure there were private hospitals in Cheltenham, but maybe they've not got the equipment for that sort of case.

He's at the BUPA hospital in Clifton, Bristol, according to the Daily Mail. Not that I read that particular paper. I found it under a table.
I sometimes walk past that place.

ninja There's no sneaking in there. BUPA has amazing security. You'd only get in if you were with family, a close friend or a doctor... Hm, my mum's a docotr. I could visit with her... xd

Not that I have one. Now that I've thought of them, I want one. stare

We drove past there earlier today and I'm pretty sure there's a policeman on the gate smile Definitely no sneaking allowed.
Dunno why they're saying Clifton. I was sure that area was technically Redland. But I'm splitting hairs I guess smile

A friend of mine is plotting to dress as a nurse, sneak in, and employ the doctoring techniques she learned off Scrubs. eek

I just got a lovely warm fuzzy feeling after catching a spy of the latest Top Gear magazine.
It seems not only is Richard Hammond back on the show, but they will also be showing his crash on the 28th!
Wowza.
