Steve Irwin was once my hero as a little kid.
Due to aussie vs. kiwi rifts most of us have a slight dislike for most aussies. But like most of their bands Steve Irwin was one person who touched our hearts. Or at least that's what I think.
My little brother and I own two red-necked turtles and he (my brother)loves them to bits. Every so often while sitting at my computer I can see him and his friends with the turtles out of their pond and on the front lawn arguing over who is going to be Steve Irwin and who is going to be the camera crew and medics. (Kieran normally ends up being Steve because we own the turtles).
Irwin, will be sorely missed around the world as we can see from above. He was a ground breaking researcher in both the feilds of reptiles, mammels and marsupials alike. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and all of the people that he has helped over the years.

((Can anyone recognise that I'm a journolism student from that post?!))

i really liked the post, it was really meaningful and i love the bit about your brother being steve irwin, i think many kids out there at one stage or another wanted to be steve irwin it was a really good post!!!!

You should've been in the GD forum. Now those people should've been the ones to die. Making joke threads about him and stuff. People are just so mean, he will be missed.

I know. I have seen some of it. Sheesh, people are sick. I have read posts where people state they have always wanted him dead, and that they hope the video of his death will be released. Sick, sick, people. I can't really believe people wish that upon his kids, his wife, his family.

He was a great man, and he did absolutely not deserve to die.

That is sick. Why the hell would you want to watch someone die. I mean you get it in movies and s**t but you know its not real. I could never watch a real person acctually dieing.

A Tragic Affair

The worst part about it is that his little girl was there with him. She watched him die that whole boat ride back to shore (1 hour).

It is really sad, I grew up watching him. emo

Huh? no she wasn't, he was filming some stuff for a show she was going to host but she was with her mother and brother in Tasmania, not Queensland.
