[Discussion] Close Call :v

My parents now want to look through the manga that me and Nee-chan get to make sure that our younger brother doesn't read anything inappropriate. The pictures I save aren't very bad so I don't need to worry about that. I generally don't leave the internet open when I leave the room and I delete a lot of stuff from the 'History' menu.

I was almost caught by my grandfather. I was reading a rather explicit manga on my computer and he walked in, luckily I had a plain word document window open that I brought up to cover the manga. But it was really close...

That's exactly why the screen of my computer doesn't face the door. And also why I leave all the lights in the adjacent room off- my family has to turn them on to get by. It gives me ample time to exit out.

Now, my Bucket o' Smut has been under suspicion for a while now, and it has to be moved periodically, so I've had some close calls there. Especially because it's pretty hardcore, and as such I should not be reading it with these virgin eyes of mine.

But I'll deal.

Well, my mother once walked on me when I was reading a FFX shounen-ai fanfic, but I opened another window.
And my dad once saw me watch Gravitation, and I was really scared, but hopefully it was a pretty regular part that looked like a regular anime to him.
And my mum has seen some Gravitation scenes I thought were funny and not dangerous to show her, but she almost saw a comment about Shuichi liking Yuki.
And then there are my mother's suspicions about my Gravitation wallpaper: "That pink-haired one... is it a girl?" - "No, it's a boy" - "Oh... But they're always together in every picture, these two, huh..." - "Yeah, because they are the protagonists, ma...".

But the really close call was when I was reading Our Kingdom in my room at 3am and my mom woke up to go to the bathroom.
I almost had no time to hide the manga, and my mother heard the noices and when she came into my room she was all "You don't have to be so scared when I wake up...".

my freind had given me the loveless art book on disk and some chapters of lovless i was reading it when my ten year old bro came in with my dad i nearly died i had to close that window and open another one .also i read yaoi a lot online when im sposed to be doing homework

Heh. What an interesting topic. XD

Last christmas when I was home, I was rping a yaoi lemon scene on msn for a fic my friend and I were writing, and my mom is suddenly there to get something, and looking at the screen (our comp used to be in the basement, so I would mostly be alone.) and I JUST mangaged to switch it to another convo, where my friend had recently told me about a fic with the words "sex education" in the title. My mom was like, why the hell are you talking about that?! I told her it was just the title of something funny she'd read.

Then of course, there was the scare this summer where I actually decided to NOT have a password on my laptop, and my brother (he's 17) decided to get into it while I was at work. I come home, look at it, see that it's actually on when I hadn't touched it, and my media player opens up on the list of all my videos, including Sensitive Pornograph. I didn't know if it had been him or my mom. He lied to me, and told me it wasn't him, so I was mad at mom for going into my stuff. Found out he lied, and wanted to kill him. D< He told me he just wanted to see what movies I had, but didn't watch anything >.<

Haven't had any run-ins with them finding my yaoi manga (yet) but I used to leave Gravitation and FAKE lying around while I was reading them, but they were put away soon enough. ;P

Kinda caught once. XD I was asking my dad to download the Loveless episodes (since I'm using the other PC and he's using the main) for me. And one time he was like, "What's it about, anyway?" And I told him everything. He didn't exactly get mad, he just shrugged it off. Yipee! He's okay with it! XD

Got sorta caught by both my brothers once.. My oldest brother walked in while I was watching KKM, with it's slashiness he asked oh so casually "Are those guys gay?" ( He was referring to Konrad and Yuuri ) And I said, "Huh? What are you talking about? They're not gay.." I face went red at that but he didn't seem to notice and walked away saying, "Yeah.. sure.. but they LOOK gay."

My other brother picked up book 1 of Selfish Love and scanned through it, asking what it was about. For some reason he ignored the cover, and the pink 18+ and "Yaoi" and Be Beautiful logo. He just had to flip right to the part with the explicit One Shots. He seemed to freeze with a really confused look and asked in a I'm-not-sure-I-wanna-know voice, "What they doing?.." Looking on the other page finally made him realize the lemoness of it. XD.. Afterwards, he stared with wide open eyes for a moment before shutting it, putting it down, and walking away. My sister and I just looked at eachother and laughed. I think he's a bit homophobic. :Ninja:

Then my step-father caught be looking up pictures for an RP character. He just looked at me weird for a second, but I ignored him and kept at it like it was a very normal thing to do.. It wouldn't have been awkward without the many shirtless, and skin-tight pictures I stumbled upon. <<

There was also the time I was playing Silver Chaos II: Artificial Mermaid. My sister was suspicious of me wanting her to go to sleep so much. >>; She knows I'm into Yaoi.. she liked it too, but I'd just rather not let her know about a few things. Even though she played a Hentai game before.

my dad comes up behind me and says. . .
"who are those people?"
i responded shakaly"oh. . . .um. . .some people. . .kissing. . ."
so my dad was now very suspicous
"are they two men?"
"ahhhh. . .what would you say if i said "yes?"
he looked at me weirdly. . .then said
"well ok,as long as it ISINT porn,im ok with it. . .i think. . ."
i was now really releived,so i decided to push the envelope. . .
"well,yeah,it is sort of porn,some parts are a little graphic. . ."
i looked up at all innocent like
"like how graphic?"
so i showed him the next page. . .were they were going at it. . .
he was very surprised,but ok with it! 4laugh 4laugh
"well,i have some groccery shopping to do,see ya in a few!"
thats how he left,and ever sense then he has seen me reading yaoi in his presents numerous times,they only down side was a a month later. . .
"are you interested in the gay world?"
of corse i replyed no,and that im just ok with it!and that is the end of the story! 4laugh 4laugh

I am soooo glad I don't collect yaoi pictures. I was caught once, back when I first started reading the stuff. My mom crept up behind me and saw me reading some children's fanfic (ff.net), and told me that I would be banned from the computer if I read any more. I stopped for a while, but now I'm back at it, worse than ever...

I was reading Little Butterfly and I shoved the book at my dads face and was like "LOOK Dad! THAT GUY JUST FORCEFULLY KISS THAT OTHER GUY. But I know they are going to go at it in the end"

He just said "ok" continued to listen to Enya.

I'd think he was gay, if he didnt have a gf.

My mom knows I read yaoi but I still have that extra window popped up just in case if anything really graphic comes along. LOL!

*giggles* I'm finding these stories are rather funny. I have one too! ^^

I had bought the Loveless DVD set that day and I was watching them in my room. Well... my step-dad likes to barge in every now and then so he walks in while I'm watching it. I was like Oh crap, oh crap, of crap! and I was trying to make excuses for him to leave or at least make him uninterested.
He says, "What are you watching?" And sits down on the little couch thing that in my room.

"Uhm... a new anime show I got." I knew he was intending to stay so I added "You wouldn't like it, it's in Japanese and you have to read" (He's sorta illiterate)

He said something else and I knew he was going to watch it. I was silently panicking, trying to think of a way out of this and hoping Soubi didn't do somthing to Ritsuka. Finally, I got up and shut it off, saying I didn't want to watch it. He left the room and I actually kind of laughed to myself. I honestly don't know how he would take it if he knew about my yaoi obsession.

Both my parents have seen my Loveless books (my step-dad actually scans though them sometimes) but they haven't said anything. I'm just waiting for the day they find the *cough*graphic*cough* yaoi doujinshi and pictures I have saved on my computer. And my yaoi books that I have on my bookshelf (thank goodness they're in my closet!)

After School Nightmare is kind of yaoi and kind of yuri at the same time. You have to read it.

I was really sleepy and was just staying awake because shark week was on the discovery channel. Then my mom notices a manga book in the couch and picks it up. I reconize it as After School Nightmare and quickly grab it before she can read the back or see the picture on the front. I was awake after that....and was reading After School Nightmare into the night. I want to get the next book, but I have to shop with friends to get it.

Well. I was watching my baby brother's and I was bored. REALLY BORED. And I had my laptop. So... I started watching Okane Ga Nai. sweatdrop

It was okay til my 6 year old brother like a ninja popped up behind me and asked "what are you watching?" It was in the middle of a sex scene so I'm like " O.O nothing. when your older.." he's like "are those people japenese." I'm like "yes,very good. you're smart. Now go play!" *shoves him in the other direction* Didn't get bothered again but.

edit: thinking back to it... I am pretty surprised that he knew it was japenese. I mean... my mum never lets them watch anime (besides Pokemon) he doesn't really know what it is... so... Wow I have a smart little brother! surprised
