I'm not sure where you've been, but in the world of "goth" Siouxsie gains MUCH credit for her contribution to the musical genre and the scene.

YEs she does, too much so sometimes whee
Actually i'm not a fan of hers AT ALL, but its nice seeing a thread for a , well i'll be diplomatic here and not say what i want to say, so i'll just say a classic goth band in this guld 3nodding

I love Siouxsie and the Banshees. While not exactly goth-rock in the strictest sense, after the Cure, they did more for bringing goth to the mainstream than any other band. They may not have developed the sound as Joy Division or Bauhaus (or Christian Death in America) did, but they played a key role in the growth of the goth culture.
