Kyōjurō is greatly enthusiastic in regard to his duties as a Hashira, and often comes across as cheerfully eccentric. He is amiable, pure of heart, and boasts extraordinary technique and swordsmanship stemming from strict practice and discipline. He is an honorable warrior who adheres to his code of morals and principles that was instilled into him by his mother at a young age; the most significant being his belief that those who were born strong have a duty to protect the weak.
Kyōjurō also loves his family immensely, displaying great respect and worry towards his father, Shinjurō Rengoku, despite him growing slowly more aggressive and apathetic towards Kyōjurō. He was incredibly encouraging and optimistic towards his little brother, Senjurō Rengoku, believing in him and wishing him the best no matter what. This was further accentuated during his death where his final words for his father and his little brother were "take care of your body" and "follow your dreams no matter what". Kyōjurō also believes that if someone lacks immense skill, their hard work towards their dreams and desire to help people doesn't count for nothing.
Beneath his enthusiastic demeanor, Kyōjurō is very logical and tactically intelligent, acting quickly and precisely in battle, especially when the lives of others are on the line. Kyōjurō is also great in seeing talent in others, even in Nezuko Kamado, a demon which he wanted to kill beforehand, after seeing her risk her life to fight and protect others. Though he is extremely optimistic, Kyōjurō does sometimes have a sense of foreboding that those he believes in might die; especially his friends who he cared deeply for. He, like most Demon Slayers, absolutely detests demons, usually because of their heinous deeds or because of their clashing morale values. Despite this, Kyōjurō recognized and accepted Nezuko as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps after seeing her risk her life to protect innocents, showing that Kyōjurō is capable of not letting his hatred for demons cloud his judgement.

▌Regeneration Nullification : The ore used to forge Demon Slayer weapons have the capability of hindering a demon's regenerative abilities. As a Hashira, Kyōjurō's blade is very effective at this and, likely due to being exposed to the universe outside his own home world, this ability has become universal.
♕ MAGIC ❞
▌Flame Breathing : Originally, Flame Breathing was nothing more than a series of specific sword techniques. Breathing Styles do not actually generate elemental attributes; the user simply envisions the associated element for precise execution of their techniques. However, Kyōjurō's techniques are now infused with real fire power making his strikes much more effective and deadly.
tab ▌First Form: Unknowing Fire : Kyōjurō dashes towards the target at tremendous speed before unleashing a singular horizontal slash directed at the targets neck for a decapitation.
tab ▌Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun : Unleashes an arcing vertical slash in an upwards motion, often brought up from a tail guard.
tab ▌Third Form: Blazing Universe : He performs an arcing downwards vertical slash, often brought down from a high guard.
tab ▌Fourth Form: Blooming Flame Undulation : Kyōjurō performs a singular slash, or multiple if needed, in a fluid circular motion to defend from incoming attacks and decapitate multiple targets.
tab ▌Fifth Form Form: Flame Tiger : Dashes forth bringing his blade into a high guard before performing a series of sword slashes which take the form of a flaming tiger enveloping the user.
tab ▌Sixth Form: Flaming Rush : By maintaining a constant breathing rhythm, Kyōjurō can achieve incredible speeds he can't normally reach. As he sprints, he leaves behind a trail of fire.
tab ▌Seventh Form: Blaze Burst : Kyōjurō jumps into the air and charges forward to deliver swift and decisive strikes.
tab ▌Eighth Form: ?? : Unlearned. Kyōjurō knows the technique in the book sense, but he hasn't mastered it.
tab ▌Ninth Form: Rengoku : The most powerful form of Flame Breathing and a technique only those of Rengoku heritage can master. Kyōjurō assumes a high stance before performing an extremely high-speed dash towards the target and unleashing a singular, devastating slash. The technique is powerful enough to completely carve out the ground in its wake and takes the form of a flaming Japanese dragon that envelopes him as he is charging towards the target. If struck by an opposing force such as Akaza's strikes, the dragon will erupt and create a tornado of flame around Kyōjurō and his opponent.
▌Total Concentration Breathing : A breathing technique which involves expanding one's lungs to intake as much air as possible, accelerating one's blood flow and heartbeat while increasing their inner body temperature, resulting in their bones and muscles becoming more excited. Using this enhances the user's physical traits and capabilities while still remaining human. Such traits include superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, endurance, and the mental abilities needed to keep up with their superhuman bodies, such as a faster thought process and reaction time. Being more proficient in Total Concentration Breathing is key in raising one's survivability while fighting demons.
tab ▌Total Concentration: Constant : Essentially an advanced version of Total Concentration Breathing that is maintained constantly rather than situationally. To Rengoku, a Hashira, this is the state of his breathing at all times; even when he's asleep.
tab ▌Enhanced Recovery : At a more advanced level, Total Concentration is also capable of slowing down the circulation of poison in the bloodstream and even clotting wounds from severe injuries. By focusing on every inch of the body and raising the accuracy of one's Breathing, one can spread their sensitivity throughout their body and detect and even heal hidden internal wounds they may have. This is not a cure-all, though; it can't save a Demon Slayer, even a Hashira, from fatal wounds.
tab ▌Recovery Breathing : By taking a moment to focus on his Breathing, Kyōjurō is capable of swiftly recovering from fatigue and stiff muscles.

▌halloween town : Maybe a bit morbid, but Kyōjurō takes the form of a patchwork zombie in Halloween Town. In this form, his hair becomes white with "ghostly blue" while his irises change into a "blind white" with pale blue outer rings. Additionally, his flames take on a blueish-green color.
▌pride lands : A yellow gecko with red eyes and patterns.
▌atlantica : A fairly standard merman. While he loses his haori in this form, it is replaced with a tail with the same pattern; white with fins that have a yellow to red gradient.

♕ CRUSH : No one. Kyojuro has never given much thought to romance, but he's not opposed to it.

▌His father hated animals, so Kyōjurō's never had a pet before.
▌The unique hair and eye colors of the Rengoku family is attributed to a couple of different sources. While Kyōjurō will immediately give credit to his ancestor that ate a lot of tempura, he will admit that it is more likely the result of the Kankagari ritual.
▌His intellect and will have been indisputable traits of his since his very first mission when he ruptured his own eardrums to counter the Blood Demon Art of the Flute Demon. Thankfully, this didn't permanently damage his ability to hear.
▌Kyōjurō has two mottos that he adores. These are: "If you put in your all, you’ll stand your ground even in death." and "Nothing’s impossible if you put your mind to it."
▌Many of his peers were unable to keep up with Kyōjurō since he is "too fast". He would reach conclusions quickly, he's quick to change his mind, he would eat quickly, etc. Despite this, he is sensitive to other people's emotions and is caring, making most of the corps members like him.
▌Kyōjurō never had a lasting Tsuguko, though Mitsuri Kanroji came close until she developed Love Breathing. Whenever he would take on a pupil, they would be scared off by the difficulty of his training methods. Regardless of his bad track record and the likelihood that they would run off, Kyōjurō was always willing to take on the task. When he agreed to train Tanjirō Kamado, he honestly believed he would have been the first, if not the only, Tsuguko to endure through his training. He's saddened that he won't be able to find out.
▌Spiders freak him out. He couldn't tell you why; they just do. However, people aren't likely to discover this unless they really pay attention to him because other than going tense and staring relentlessly at any spider he manages to see, his expression doesn't change from what it typically is.
▌In canon, there are three forms of Flame Breathing unaccounted for; Sixth Form, Seventh Form, and Eighth Form. Here, I've given names to the sixth and seventh but left the eighth unknown. Flaming Rush and Blaze Burst are original names for the two techniques he uses during the Mugen Train arc. Flaming Rush is the name of his speed technique and Blaze Burst is what I will be calling his floating technique.
