Physical Description: Despite her age, Virens is still bright eyed and as spritely as she is physically capable of being. Her once red hair is streaked with silver in an aging peppermint-y appearance and her dark eyes retain their intensity.
Personality: Any who meet Virens in her old age will easily find the embers of a youthful spitfire who even now is high energy. Perhaps it is a life spent working to an end that wouldn't show its face during the years in which she could fight it the hardest, but Virens has little issue in doing thankless work that most would rather avoid. There is very little she considers too much to handle: she raised 3 kids, tended to a baby dragon, a farm, and her elderly parents. Virens has seen the gamut of dirty work.
However, being as spirited as she is, Virens is both hard to tear down and to get to stop. She has strong will that hasn't faded with age and that will has caused her to step over the line repeatedly in her life - embarrassing mother who is oversharing about your life despite your pleas to stop? That's Virens. Person who decides to do something even after you've argued the logical reason to not do it? Also Virens. When she has made up her mind to do something she won't change it easily nor quickly. Sometimes, you just have to go along for the ride.
Unfortunately this makes Virens overbearing, having a firm idea of the way things should be done that she is prone to be pushy about. She is not gentle about her opinions and will make enemies with her lack of bedside manner and bluntness. Those who disagree with her will find she will almost nag about it in follow up as well. It all comes from a place of love, however, because Virens is absolutely full to the brim with affection which she shows openly in forms beyond stubbornly pushing her will onto her loved ones. She is a master of doing favors that weren't asked for, doting, and going out of her way for others. At her age, this love extends far beyond her blood family, and Virens quite often is set to work in the creche to share it around.

History: Turns and turns ago, Virens was the only child of an older couple who had her perhaps later than they should have. While old age wouldn't take them, sickness would waste them away as their daughter spent most of her young life tending to them. Their passing would leave a 20 turn old Virens lost in the world and with no proper training in any craft beyond tending a far.. It was in this lull that her future would align.
A rider on search, while not searching her, took a personal interest in Virens. She would be brought to High Reaches, initially to help in the kitchens. Her first son would be born within that first turn. Two turns later, Virens would be plucked off of the stands by a newly hatched green dragon.
Her impression to Pervith would not dampen her love for T'rev - the bluerider who had brought her to the Weyr - and after graduation the two would eventually add another son and a daughter to their clan. In a time of relative safety, the preparation for a threat allowed the family to thrive without much threat.
Their children would grow, impress their own dragons, and have their own children. Virens was certain that the threat being prepared for would come long after she was gone.
Virens thought wrong.
While the preparations of High Reaches kept from the loss of her family, Virens age would prevent her from becoming a frontline fighter she would be eager to do what could be done. All hands were needed - and she would use hers until they get worn out.

Physical Description: Pervith is a sturdy dragon, not yet graying from her age. She is thick limbed and strong with perfect proportions for her build.
Personality: Steady, calm, and considerate, Pervith is one of the most dependable dragons you could ever meet. While she lacks warmth, leaning on the serious side, she does have a deep well of patience and tolerance for even the most obnoxious of personalities.
