Physical Description: V’riel is on the taller side, though he doesn’t stand as one of the tallest folk one would see around High Reaches, with a finely muscled body. He has short-cut black hair, light eyes, and is on the well-groomed side of scruffy (he can’t help it, he shaves and it’s back in 2 minutes). Notably, both of his arms are tattooed, not that many can tell how far up they go because shirts exist.
Personality: Do you know who thinks High Reaches is the best? V’riel! Born, raised, and completely saturated in the culture, V’riel has a pride in his home - even more since his older brother is the Weyrleader! If one would think him to have a competitive or jealous thought about D’mon’s success, it is honestly the opposite. D’mon is what High Reaches DESERVES and he’s not about to be the slacking baby brother who makes either look bad. Which is probably why he’s never allowed to go to hatchings at other Weyrs - V’riel would absolutely make the currently tense state of affairs worse. Who was that who insulted High Reaches’ queens and their fine dragons?? Let him at them!!! Sure, the problem is over by turns and dealt with (mostly), but V’riel is easily worked up about bygones and past slights.
His passion for his home, and everybody who lives there (even those swapping-folk - Welcome to the best Weyr on Pern!) has him burning like a pyre. But he’s also bullheaded in this opinion and perhaps a bit too much of a burning bonfire. Changing V’riel’s mind and opinion is nigh impossible and like arguing with a rock. Even those who may be on a similar page with him may find him a bit, well, much as well. V’riel is loud, proud, and everybody gets to hear about it in flooding amounts.
Fortunately, V’riel doesn’t have a malicious bone in his body - well, maybe one that is ready to throw down for the things he loves if he feels they have been insulted - and is full of love. A lot of love. Near strangers can become his Best Friend in an instant - though taking advantage of this can lead to trouble so it is ill advised to try.

History: Born to Demorien and Ve'mon to a whole lot of siblings, Vemoriel never took a large family to be a bad thing. He got plenty of love, he had plenty of playmates - there were lots of positive silver linings to enjoy! Which flavored the way Vemoriel experienced his life - through a love of his family and his home. Nearly out the gate he was a passionate little kid, and the hard work of High Reaches to be prepared for an unknown future left a strong impression on him.
So he'd chomp at the bit to become a candidate like his older siblings had, even though several of them wouldn't impress - but several more had and he admired each of their bonds. Though, it was to little surprise he'd have his eyes on what several of his older brothers and father had - the bronzes. He wanted to be the pride and strength of High Reaches no matter the color, but....
But...but....
He'd wait a long time. The end of candidacy drew closer...closer...closer and Vemoriel accepted that he could join those who hadn't impressed and he'd support High Reaches in his own way. It would be fine and it wouldn't dampen his spirits, which had remained high after each time he'd been left waiting on the sands.
VemorielMine - is it possible to be born sooner? Your Raizunth feels like they have waited many lifetimes for you and I to meet, the little bronze would implore to a nearly too-old candidate, rainbows and waves of desperate apologies for taking so long to be there. To be clutched. To be hatched.

V'riel hadn't known what it would take off his shoulders for a little dragon - his perfect little bronze, to come for him. They would thrive in training and drills, but it wasn't until Thread's return that both Raizunth and V'riel would rise to the real next step of the challenge. High Reaches had been ready - and they liked to think they were also ready. It was time to fight - for the Honor of High Reaches.

Name: Raizunth
Age: 11
Color: Bronze
Size: 88’
Physical Description: Raizunth is a large, though not one of the largest, bronze. He’s not bulky in musculature, though strong, with almost stubby headknobs and small spines. His wings are about a knuckles-length longer than average.
Personality: Raizunth isn’t bright. He’s got enough instinct and head about him to perform well in drills and Threadfall, but when it comes to ambition and schemes like some dragons may have, he’s firing on 0 cylinders. Raizunth is content to just be a dragon who does dragon things - he doesn’t have to be a Wingleader. He doesn’t need to be Weyrleader (or pull the strings behind the scenes). Being able to sun and maybe even spend some time on the ledge of a pretty lady is perfect to him.
And oh, is he weak to the pretty ladies. Greens and Queens both. There is a deep well of love in Raizunth and he wants to adore, on top of being adored, and it doesn’t matter to him if he’s being strung along. All women are queens, after all, and they could do no wrong in his eyes. He won’t, however, fight over whatever lady has his adoration - if they want to keep a throng, he is just happy to be part of it.
