The weather was thrashing about on the cliffs. Winds pulling wave upon wave against the walls, daring them to crumble under the pressure. They didn't dare give though, didn't budge at the waters demands. Atop the cliffs sat one (though probably others) lion, alone. Eykt had been too and from the cliffs most of his young life, admiring the horizon that seemed to go on for miles. Across those waters he would catch glimpse of a mountain, or what he assumed was a mountain. He didn't give it much thought after that.
A crack gave him a start out of his daydream like state and he inhaled harshly. Though the waters didn't win the battle against the wall now, didn't mean it never would after all. He became very aware of where he was standing, nearly leaning over the edge, and took a step back.
"Today may be a good day to die, but I'd rather it wasn't the day I died." He mused to himself, for the most part, and took a moment to consider his future. Eykt often didn't dare to consider his future more than a moment, for he wasn't sure what it held. Of course it was up to him to shape it, and thanks to his grown in mane he had all opportunity. The future just held to much possibility for him to handle at any given time.
Future him problems.
He had stepped away from the edge, and lay at the top of the cliff, opting for somewhere safer. He rested his head on his paws and simply stared forward - his mind grew blank and he was no longer paying attention to his surroundings.

Vaska and Slava were always together, nearly inseparable in their cubhood that extended far into their adulthood. Since the great changes to the pride, with a new leader and a new regime. Vaska had taken to it easily, though Slava was starting to settle.
Nothing mattered as long as the two could still be together in their ambitions. Of course, this meant that Vaska stuck closer to the pride more often than not, and the two would spar or take turns fighting any of the other members who dared belittle them. Slava was stronger than her brother, physically, but that didn't mean he didn't fight.
The twins moved along the cliffs. Though they weren't particularly looking for a fight, one would be more entertaining than watching the water crash against the rocks and listening to the wind howl. Today, Slava was calm, but Vaska's rare rage bubbled up. It'd be his turn to fight if they found someone today...

Vaska nearly flinched when the other moved so suddenly - he hadn't really been paying attention. He snarled at the other for startling him, swiping a paw. He could hear Slava chuckle behind him, and it only made him angrier. When he was angry, he was sloppy. "What are you looking at?" he bit out angrily, teeth bared and aching for a fight.
Slava walked a bit away, leaving her brother behind, but she did plop down to watch. She had an idea this would go, of course, but it was really anyone's game. If Vaska was angry enough to win this he would be able to overtake with just rage despite his sloppiness when he was angry.
Or he could calm down, and think of a strategy. The least entertaining thing would be for them to back down, but with the rage that settled in her brother today she was sure a fight would happen.

Eykt was alarmed when his present company began to snarl and even made a (rather sad) swipe in his direction. He assumed the action was a warning, and he got the message, but wasn't ready to move on with his day.
Of course that changed a small amount when the male spoke, bared his teeth, and made his intentions very clear. "Nothing. As in you aren't much to look at." He felt the urge to roll his eyes, but didn't dare let them move from the frame of his now opponent. In his peripherals he could see the sibling (he was assuming life wasn't that coincidental) seat herself out of the way, but was clearly intent on watching.
There would be a duel.
"Now, your sister on the other paw..." He smirked, just a little, perhaps enough to earn himself a reaction. Either way he wasn't going to let the stranger dictate how things would go down - he lunged forward, claws out and seeking flesh.

Slava huffed at the male. She was somewhat amused. She wasn't quite one for her appearance after all. She looked as she did, and that was that.
Vaska, on the other hand, snarled and lunged for the other male. The rage he felt was almost palpable and he wanted to see the blood of the white male on his claws. He aimed a swipe as best as he could with his near dizzying rage.
"Don't you look at her," He growled.
Slava thought he looked quite foolish, and wondered if she looked so dumb in the midst of battle. She gave a small laugh. "Yeah, brother, defend my honor," She said blandly, watching how the other moved.
Vaska would surely lose, and then he'd be so annoying for the next couple days... Ugh.
