Ⅲ♠ Raphael ♠Ⅲ
A knight must stand tall against those who threaten his nation.
Raphael was the highest knight in his country. Jousting, sword fighting, even archery. Raphael worked to win them all and remain strong among his brothers, even keeping a healthy appearance to the commoners he saw. He fought for many lords as a knight for the country.
Tonight he was dressed much like all the other knights from his country were, the evening may have been to ease the tension but they needed to show their unity. Their carriages came one by one and let each off, neatly timed for their march inside. While many were already enjoying the festivities, everyone near the entrance took notice to the knights and their escorts entering the hall, who dispersed shortly after the last came in. Raphael among them, they began socializing with the other guests.

o o c : oh , the entrance was open ended , which was rather great for me , so no problem there . haha

◤ Taking her helm off and tucking the piece of steel in between her arm and her hip, she looked from left to right, looking for some familiar faces for she didn't really fare well with new company. 'Ah, finally!' She exclaimed gleefully as a comrade waved for her to approach their little group.
With a bright smile on her face, she approached the group and gave a more relaxed wave for them as she was introduced by her comrade, Lithio. "This is our pride and joy in our Queensguard, Alexandria. Be careful, she's tiny but she sure is feisty." Lithio looked down at the blushing knight as she slapped her comrade's arm with a laugh.
It was for sure nothing new to them. They were raised like family in the troop after all.
As the conversation grew on, one knight from the opposition was talking about how they were in their troops, and she couldn't help but say, "I guess it wouldn't really matter where you're from, huh? Knights will be knights." She raised her glass in the air with a smile, which was followed by cheer and howl from the others. With a contented sigh, she looked on to another person talking, but couldn't help but look past him, her eyes landing on another knight.
He was tall, his air seemed different from the rest, and boy, he was.. '.. so handsome.' Taken aback by her own thoughts, she looked away quickly, not knowing if someone had seen her or heard her thoughts. 'You're a disgrace, Alexandria.' ◢

Inside, the two countries were still keeping to themselves, each side able to tell who was friend and foe so there was an air of separation in the hall. Despite the feast surrounding them and the music filling the air, if one observed from above, and blurred their vision, the colors would tell what side took what half of the hall.
Raphael joined others from his country, not knights but nobles, and joined in with their conversation. They kept talking of the other side with the occasional glance, more interested in gossip than attempting dialogue. He followed their gaze as they gestured to a collection of knights from the other country, and his eyes intercepted those of a female knight. While the other country was known for having female knights as its Queensguard, but it was still a surprise to see this one.
Growing tired of the nobles' gossip, Raphael grabbed a fellow knight and let him take his place while Raphael stepped away from the group, and left the grand hall, walking down a hall towards the garden this building was renown for bringing peace and clarity. It was a stretch but it was better than where he was.

◤ Just as she looked away, a lot of her own comrades looked for her and she started to interact with them as well, forgetting about her one-sided little mishap with herself and a knight from the other side of the room. As she sees Bjorn, a bulky bald man who was nearly 2 feet taller than her, approach her slowly with a stern look on his face, she sighed softly. She just knew.
"I suppose you know why I am here?" The male cocked an eyebrow at her and she just shrugged her shoulders and waved her hand in front of her face dismissively. "I'll be right there."
With a nod, Bjorn turned and walked away, leaving her to excuse herself from the little group of chatty knights. Fixing herself up quickly, she then walked towards the table of the King from her kingdom. Upon approaching the table, she bowed deeply and respectfully before the king gave her a signal to rise. "I suppose you're ready?" The king inquired with much distaste in his tone. The king was not the most supportive of the women of the knighthood, calling it an atrocity for having frail women in a collection of manly men. His distaste even grew stronger when she and a few other women proved him wrong, beating his strongest knights .. but that's for another day.
Right now, Alexandria couldn't help but feel insulted, but she kept a calm demeanor as she stood before the royal highness and his minions. "I've been trained just like the rest of your boys, Your Majesty, I do believe that if you trust them, you should be able to trust me just as well." The King looked down on her as she looked straight into his eyes, it was clear that his blood was boiling. Before he could give any more comments, she bowed gently, excusing herself. "Your Majesty." It was all she said before she turned around and walked out of the hall.
As she approached the door, it seemed like the light at the end of the tunne, and she was finally reaching some kind of paradise of solitude.
Closing the door behind her, shutting in the noise of the crowd, she sighed and leaned her head against the door with a smile on her face. "Finally!" She screamed in relief, as if she were without a care at all.
It was nice to let loose for a while. ◢

Raphael laughed at his own depressing trail of thinking. Whatever the outcome of tonight, he'd just carry on, a war won't stop him. He rested his hand on the pommel of his sword, shifting it back and forth as he smiled. He looked up as the sounds of footsteps grew louder, the knight he locked eyes with earlier was standing in front of him, did she follow him?
He started to speak but she already started, fumbling over her words, he couldn't help but crack a grin on his face. A knight fumbling over words, he forgot she was even a part of the other nation. "No, you don't have to leave. Hello there as well." He took his hand off the pommel, it may be taken as a challenge among knights. "What brings you here?"
