Waking up was no longer the pleasure it once was. There's a fleeting moment when Akasha felt whole again- but it evaporated faster than summer rain off the burnt earth. Her lids that were drooping and leaden with sleep snapped open as violently as if she been woken by the shrill screech of of an angry Loudred. Only a little longer before she could begin her journey at the Ordell Academy. So many sweet dreams she had been teased with of running through fields with all kinds of exquisite pokemon. Battling along side other renowned trainers, and learning all she could about her muse. So by the time her eyes were open, her brain had become overwhelmed all over again as if it were all so far away. Oh well
Sighing , Akasha sat up in her darkly draped canopy bed. She could see the faint traces of light from the outside world penetrating the edges of her black out curtains. It was time to start the day - surely her grandpa would be down stairs awaiting for her to set up the seance room for guests later.
Lavender town was known for its spooky Feng shui, Shuppet confections, Yamask candal shop, and all sorts of other ghost/psychic themed attractions. Akasha and her grandfather ran 'Mental Mystics' just a few minutes away from the main gravesite of pokemon. Mental Mystics was a well known and respected psychic shop where her grandfather told fortunes, read tarot, and for the right price- held seances for needy guests with the help of his beloved Kadabra and Trevenant.
After brushing and setting her hair the way she liked, Akasha strolled to the bottom tier. Her grandfather, a short bald old man in traditional clothing, greeted her with a friendly smile as he continued his morning meditations.
" Morning gramps! I wonder what kind of work today has in store for us ."
Her voice was cold and reflected as unthrilled. However, this was just her natural demeanor, and an unhappy or unthrilled akasha was indeed several steps in a more negative direction
She began sweeping the floors, lighting the candles strewn about the house, feeding her grandpa's pokemon, and even setting aside time to let her Gastly have a nibble of a hand tossed berry salad she made for him. She watched as the adorable little ghost licked and nibbled its food- only day dreaming of what adventures they had ahead of them. Once everything was in order she clicked on the holographic "Open" sign hanging in front of the curtains , affixed to the window.
" Lets get this show on the road Gassy!"
