Icirrus City is a city located in northwestern Unova. Icirrus City is connected to Twist Mountain to the west, and Route 8 to the east. To the north of Icirrus City lies Dragonspiral Tower. The majority of Icirrus City's buildings are located on high ground, due to the surrounding area being in a wet climate and as such having large puddles containing wild Pokémon. Windmills can also be seen towards the south end of the city. In winter, the city is covered with snow as far as the eye can see.

It felt like he was away much longer than half a year and he found himself with a mix of sadness that he wouldn't see his friends in another six, while on the other, he was glad to be home for his grandfather. Vallen's barking announced his arrival even before he reached the door and his grandfather emerged from the door faster than he thought he would. He assumed he must have waited for him. "I am home," Cyril said as he was ushered in before he freeze outside. It was warm inside and the smells of burning coals hits him. This is home.

That night, safe inside his room and only his pokemon for company, Cyril finally had time to write to his friend. It was new for him to write letter and at first he hesitated of what to write. He remembered that many of his classmate in icirrus often said he was boring and Cyril too agreed that he didn't have much going on with his live. But he can try regardless what his friends will say of him. First, he wrote a general message.

Hi,guys. I got home safely without any snowstorm and the mamoswine ride was great with a clear day. Here's a picture. <> How about you?
It was short, but it will do. His next challenge was another letter addressed to Kirsi. He preferred not to use texting like this, but he wasn't able to find any appropriate time to talk to Kirsi, not when they were all recovering from that incident with dragons during the festival. Even when nobody was hurt, they were instead plagued with nightmares and memories of the event. He, himself was no exception.

. . . This might come out of nowhere. Just, It has been on my mind for a long time. I want to apologize for being rude when we first met. It might sounds cheap and easy to you for me to say it like this, but it is how I truly felt. I don't understand why you are still willing to hang out with me despite that and for that I am grateful. At the very least, let me make this apology and hope we can resolve this whether you decide to cut the ties or we start anew.

That had been hard to write to Cyril. He had to make so much edit and somewhat he felt he cheated with how composed the message appeared to be when it was anything but a result of careful wording. "It is better than leaving it be," Cyril muttered.

The following days, Cyril went to local library. He talked to the librarian for a bit as she asked about his days at the academy and even cooed over his new pokemon. Afterward, he sought out a book on how to teach his pokemon moves, especially weather moves. Aisha had an ability that made use of hail, so he thought it would be good to put it to use. They could even form a tag team as both snorunt and sneasel won't be affected by hail.
"Weather moves are moves that allow pokemon to change weather in a battlefield. The most common of these are Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Hail and Sandstorm," Cyril read the passage. The book listed various effect of each of them. "Hail will incur damage to non-ice type, unless they have the following abilities Ice Body, Snow Cloak, Magic Guard, Overcoat, or Slush Rush; or is holding Safety Goggles. Furthermore, Hail will this activates these following abilities Forecast, Ice Body, Snow Cloak, and Slush Rush. The move Blizzard will be greatly increased in accuracy during Hail." It wasn't much compared to Rain Dance or Sunny Day that gives boost or halved certain move type. Magic Guard and Overcoat too are new information to him that those ability will protect them from hail damage. Cyril continued to read further, seeking the passage to teach these move.
"Weather inducing moves are different in the way that a pokemon needs to manipulate energy that is present in nature rather than simply using their own energy. For example, to call upon a rain, user needs to understand how rain occurred and how to make it happens. Only then that user can start to manipulate energy around them to create a condition where a rain occurred, however, user often needs to keep on providing energy to keep this condition going and thus is why weather condition often didn't last long and with limited range," the book went on in regard to how weather moves work, unfortunately, it didn't say how to teach a pokemon and furthermore, "This sounds like advanced move," Cyril said to himself. He didn't know how he would go about explaining to Aisha how hail came to be, since he doesn't have in-depth knowledge about it. More subject to look up then. Cyril wrote into his note.
