StarCreek, Day 1

Coming to a new place seems quite different than back home in the kingdom of Hyrule. The night I began settling into my home, I was greeted by a woman who must have lived somewhere next door. She was very kind and seemed like the type of lady who'd be an excellent warrior. The two of us had supper and talked for a while. It was quite pleasant to have company for once. To be honest, I've never expected someone from this mysterious city to attempt getting close to me simply as a friend. I look forward to meeting Lady Yukina's little sister next time!

StarCreek, Day 2

Morning came the next day and I began my job as the new doctor at a place called Mercy Hospital. During my shift, I carried an infant girl down to the morgue for autopsy. The man in charge, sir Hestian Black, didn't seem very friendly with the way he spoke.; It was a bit strange, as if he didn't want anyone to be friendly in a way. Regardless however, perhaps I should try a different approach. His assistant is a bit more reserved, but isn't afraid to speak her mind. Trying to have any sort of friendly relationship with some people appears to be very challenging since living on my own. At least Lady Angelica is more understanding. She's quite a well trained surgeon from what I've observed. For now, I've decided to take a break from my shift the rest of the day.; This I shall leave to whomever my understudy may be until I'm ready to return.

StarCreek, Day 14

This morning I had gone to the Kona Cafe to see what sort of establishment it was. In truth, I was quite amazed at the calm atmosphere. Within that place, I met a gentleman named Ryan Valentine. He was rather charming, and most of all curious. Very few people have ever bothered talking to me lately. We shared some dessert and this strange drink called coffee, which was nice. After a short conversation, he gave me something written on a napkin before leaving. I hope one day we'll meet again.

Sometime later that very night, I was on my porch working on an important project.; Something I could use to try and recount my own memories, lest I forget them someday. It was then which I was visited by Lady Yukari, my neighbor's little sister. She was very sweet and kind enough to share some more of her delicious home made chocolate chip cookies! We had a wonderful time talking for a while, getting to know each other. After a few hours, Yukari had left for home. It's been quite a unique experience by far. However, being out in the open among all these many strangers isn't something I'm used to at all. Regardless, hopefully things will change for the better as I continue my stay in this mysterious town.

StarCreek, Day 18

Went to the furniture store to replace the bed in the guest room in my house. After paying for the item, I was surprised nobody spoke much, especially the employees. They were a bit too serious by how they talked, which I found a bit strange. Perhaps tomorrow will turn out better. For now, may as well stay busy at the hospital. At least most of my co-workers are more friendly and easier to talk with. Even my neighbors Yukari and Yukina as well whom I cherish dearly as good friends.

StarCreek, Day 19

It's getting to be very late fall already. I may not have gone to this town's strange autumn holiday celebration, since to me it is just so... odd. During the night after tending to an elderly man on my night shift, the two of us talked for quite a while. He was kind, sweet and reminded me so much of my own grandfather by his mannerisms. A few hours after he'd gone to sleep, that night was indeed his last. Later that night, I decided to end my shift early, staying in the one area many of the citizens called a park. This was the best I could do to relax my nerves, even after the current difficult events. While there, I ran across a strange older woman dressed in strange clothes. She didn't speak much before disappearing later. I never saw her again, mysterious as she was. So instead I headed home.

The next morning, I found myself treating an older woman with red hair. While I did so, we talked for a while. Turns out she's the owner of the town's spa. Funny thing, it reminds me of a place I heard of back home where a mountain tribe lived. The locals there said that there was something the tribe had called a hot spring. How fascinating.

Later the next morning, I ran into Anna and my neighbor Yukari at a restaurant. The waiter that served us was an elvish man, probably from a different land far from StarCreek as well. He was rather sweet, willing to at least talk to each of us in turn while he worked. Etheri was his name, quite a unique gentleman he is. I paid for the food, then bid him farewell. After the spa treatment, I returned home to rest.

StarCreek, Day 20-21

Today started out quite cold with the fall season coming to an end. Winter is clearly on its way, all things considered. I made my way to Nern's Clothing store that rainy day to see what kind of clothes they had. To my surprise, I ran into an older lady named Jeanette who looked like she came from a very formal noble family. She was quite wonderful to speak with. We spent the entire day trying on and picking out clothes, which I must admit was very fun! Perhaps one day I'll see her again, I hope!

By the next morning, it was pouring down buckets of rain! I did my usual rounds, tending to a few people. My main duty for the moment had been taking care of some of the newborn infants in the children's ward. This had been by far the least stressful part of my day by far. When I finished, I went to check on some other patients, one an older woman with a broken back and the other an officer in training. He clearly must have been her escort, perhaps simply friends as far as I know. At least Ragna-san was the more polite one. I'm not sure about miss Zoey despite her strange curse. Today is a strange day indeed.

StarCreek, Day 35

Strangers arrived in StarCreek today. I set out to work this morning at the hospital, only to meet a new face. He was an older gentleman, Angelo, working as a nurse. The entire rainy day, we seem to get along quite well as I teach him the layout of the building, with a map of course. Later I went to the clothing store to buy a birthday gift for my little sister back home. There I met Miss Bella, a new worker at the shop. Honestly, it's getting tougher to keep track of those who vanish lately.

StarCreek, Day 49

This morning, I had the chance to meet a new resident of this mysterious town, Lady Eleaonore. She was a bit reserved when we began talking, but soon opened up about her life before moving in a little. I dared not inquire about the details, but at least Eleaonore was honest. 'Tis good to hear other peoples' stories of their lives once in a while. Sometimes I wonder why very little has changed for my own life. Patients in a hospital are one thing for a doctor, but relationships seem trickier than I'd imagined. I guess only time will tell.

StarCreek, Day 50-52
((Written from Princess Rei's point of view.))


Early morning, I'm up and about. I headed to the park to search for my silver ocarina, the one mother had made for me the day I came to live with her. Sure enough, it was in the grass unharmed. I played a song I've been composing, when I heard someone nearby. To my left, there was a fairy who seemed entranced by the tune.; Long light pink hair, emerald eyes and such lovely wings I'd never seen. Princess Luna Tetsuya was her name, a very kind older girl. I hope to see her again one day, just like the other few people I met sometime ago.

The next day, I found myself rather tired after such a long three day shift at the hospital. Morning came around and I headed for Cidnie's Restaurant. There I was served by my friend Etheri, whom I hadn't spoken to in quite a while. I told him of my time at the hospital and that I'd planned on adopting a child. After breakfast, he gave me a hand returning to my stallion outside despite myself feeling rather tired. I thanked him and then headed home.

Once more it had been a very busy morning. I met my coworker Angelo at the hospital to begin our respective duties. During that time, I had the chance to introduce him to the infant boy I adopted. If I didn't have my hands full taking care of Akio, I could've tended to my shift. Yet regardless, I'm very thankful for Angelo's help in seeing to things for the patient roster.
