"Interesting. Our next task is to build the best team from these files." Flydra looked relieved once the gerbils portion of the lesson was over. She spread the papers out on the desk and inspected the trolls they had to work with. It was a good exercise for a leader but not once that she had expected. Filling out her own form, she added it to the rest.
"It seems obvious to me that out of the three choices, Npcgre Eenbod is ill suited to any team. There is no use for someone who does not work well with others." The tealblood began to write a list of likely tasks and scenarios a military team would have to perform.
"We need to be able to attack, rescue and infiltrate. It would be useful to have soldiers with experience, like Npcred. What do you think, Lora?"

"Oh! That doesn't sound difficult at all!" At least, there was no chance of gerbils ruining things for them or sneaky instructors sabotaging their decisions. Or, well, she supposed she would still have to keep an eye out for that one, because they could question her team-building skills if they were insisting on being awful. As if there could be any question of her abilities there, considering she'd already put together the best team.
She reached for a pen and got to work on her own resume, giving Flydra a little smile as she spread their choices out neatly along the table for consideration. She hesitated over weaknesses, unable to think of anything immediately, and glanced up towards the instructor. What would someone like them say? Once she had finished, she added hers to the lineup and then leaned forward to get a better read on them all.
"I agree. Even if they could be made to work with the team, I don't have any use for someone so cowardly they'd admit to it on an official form." She couldn't think of anything less heroic at the moment than that. "Npcred is a much better option, yes. They sound like an amazing fighter! And they barely have any real weaknesses listed." The missing eye and arm were no trouble at all. She couldn't imagine any reason the military wouldn't have replaced them already.
"Npcpur sounds like an excellent soldier as well, though. And a fellow seadweller even!" It had been a long time since she'd really worked with anyone of her own caste. She tapped a nail on the table, considering that. She only needed a team of three, and she and Flydra already made up two of that. Who was better suited to round out their team in this instance?

"You are right. Npcpur has military training as well as YTMA certification." Flydra mused out loud, looking over the forms once more. It was clear who the superior choice was. She tucked the other two forms back in the file and stacked Npcpur's with her own form and Lorata's. They would make the best team for any situation and she was going to write an essay to prove it.
Report The ideal three person team to take on military operations from the current roster would consist of Lorata Gorgos, Npcpur Plebld and Flydra Dromen. The reasons for this can be broken down into three main points: education, experience and teamwork. There are other factors to take into consideration as well such as flexibility and diversity that play into the strength of this team. All three trolls have a background in military education and YTMA training. Combining the skills from the leadership, tactics and academics courses covers a lot of ground in the types of missions that the team is prepared for. Surveying new territory or analyzing strategic battle positions is an important aspect of military work that must be done alongside the typical front lines battle work. These trolls are equipped to do these extra tasks as well as fight. Gorgos and Dromen have experience from the fall of the Civisect Space Tower that put them in real world combat situations. Npcpur has less experience with this kind of mental stress but plenty of battle experience and the entire team is outfitted with military grade weapons. Should the need to fight arise, the entire group is capable of holding their ground or pushing into enemy territory. In every mission, teamwork plays an important role. Gorgos and Dromen have worked together multiple times in the past. This relationship proves useful in quickly establishing a group dynamic and covering each others' weaknesses. Npcpur's weaknesses are subjective traits that the other two could work around. Having two authoritative seadwellers and a doctor working together has a natural pecking order and their skills compliment each other well. The seadwellers serve as a duo to debate the best course of action while the tealblood carries out their commands. The competitive streak between the seadwellers would bring out the best in both of them in terms of performance and assertiveness. The individual talents each member possesses are worth mentioning as well. Gorgos has leadership experience from commanding a squadron of trolls at the space tower and her participation in other social events. She is well networked and linked to several military officers currently serving. Npcpur has extensive tactician knowledge from several courses at the YTMA and has a reputation for being an experienced tactician. Lastly, Dromen rounds out the team by providing medical knowledge both on the battlefield and off it. She would be able to provide lifesaving first aid and emergency surgeries to save the rest of her team mates should something go wrong on a mission. These are the reasons for assembling this team as the top choice lineup. The goal is not to assemble the strongest band of soldiers but the most well rounded team that could tackle multiple types of military operations. This three troll team could confidently handle combat, espionage and intelligence-based missions. They could also manage common everynight tasks with ease such as patrols, maintenance and reports. Each member is intelligent and disciplined as evident by their educational and military backgrounds.
"There, it's done. What do you think of it?" Flydra finished sprinkling a few more mentions of Lorata's accomplishments in the essay in order to promote her friend. Everything the sirens had hinged on the seadweller's reputation and social standing. The rest of them worked hard, sure, but they had to band together to keep Lorata at the top of all the other seadwellers. Hopefully one night it would pay off and the Queen herself would notice Lorata!
"If parts need to be changed or edited, let me know." The tealblood clasped her hands together nervously. It had been a while since she'd written a paper like this. Most of her research was a lot more technical and scientific rather than persuasive.

"Let's see!" Lorata reached for Flydra's report, sliding her own over to the tealblood in return. "Here, read mine too!"
Quote: The perfect combination of soldiers for a small squadron, out of all the resumes currently provided in this classroom, would have to be composed of Lorata Gorgos, Flydra Dromen, and Npcpur Plebld. All three of the trolls in the squadron have an amazing array of technology and education at their hands that could aid them in the field in more ways than one. Working together, they would be able to take on any challenge regardless of environment and come through as nothing short of heroes, which is really all that anyone could ask for from any group of soldiers. If military operations were necessary in an underwater environment, Lorata and Npcpur would naturally be able to take action without being impeded due to their seadweller status. As everyone knows, after all, no one is stronger in water than a seadweller. Flydra's close connection with a seadweller and abilities to research and use very high tech equipment as needed would allow her to act as support for the seadwellers of her squadron and aid in the planning processes, even if she wouldn't necessarily be able to follow them beneath the waves. The three of them would be equally capable of operating from a base within a desert area, though it may not seem as obvious at first glance. As they are all very intelligent and also mostly made up of seadwellers, they know the importance of water and would never make the mistake of running out of it, as some less prepared trolls might. At least two of the squadron members have additional personal experience with what it is like in the deserts around Chittentown, one of whom served alongside the queen herself in the push to investigate and destroy the cause of the drought there in the past. No strangers to navigating cities, urban combat would be no problem for this squadron either. Their experience and tactical know how would thus allow them to take charge of situations as needed and move out quickly and decisively no matter where else battle might take them. It seems unlikely that any other environment, no matter how specifically dangerous, would be able to overcome their ability to research and plan around it. It should go without saying as well that they would have no problem gathering additional resources or soldiers to their cause as needed, being comprised of highbloods and natural leaders. Flydra's medical know how could keep any soldier in true fighting form and even improve on their normal state, ensuring that there is never a time when the squadron is unable to act. The other two members of the team would of course make sure to take care of her defenses, as any tactician worth their salt knows to protect their medic. Any immaturity that might cause a problem on Npcpur's end can be quickly put to rest between Lorata and Flydra's expertise, and there is no reason to believe they would be unable to act as a team. Altogether, it's clear that this squadron is well suited to anything you could throw at them, even gerbils, and would be able to prove as much at any time.
Once she'd finished reading Flydra's, she nodded in satisfaction "It's perfect! Let's go hand these in and go get that ice cream!"
