Ahh, fresh air! Out in Busthind, everything felt and smelled and tasted so fresh! Frendo took a big deep breath and leaned forward into the wind as it rushed passed him, one hand tangled into his lusus's fur so that he could lean precariously over the sharp edge of a cliff they had clambered up. The wind screamed around him as a hard gust rushed by, and his laughter was swallowed up in the vortex. Laughdads gave a mutual snuffle and pulled the boy back from the edge and nudged him towards the wall.
Ah yes, the cliff face they had spent half the evening climbing to get to! Supposedly, from what a local had told Frendo, this was the best climbing cliff on this side of the Busthinds. And looking at its craggy, rocky magnificent surface, the little orangeblood had to agree! This was a wall worth the climb, and he was eager to take it on.
Laughdads stayed below as he began to climb, preparing themselves for the inevitable moment that Frendo would slip or purposefully drop from the the rocks. Their little adrenaline junkie, it would seem, along with being a psychotropic plant fanatic. Speaking of which, Frendo was now hanging lazily off one of the jutting rocks on the cliff, and nibbling happily on what he called a 'pickerupper', one of the plants that helped him to feel energetic and pumped when his body was starting to wear out before he wanted it to. The change was almost instant as he whooped and began climbing again, scaling quickly up the wall.
Laughdads was beginning to wonder if their charge planned to climb to the tip top when suddenly Frendo let out a joyous squeal and threw himself back from the cliff, at least twenty feet up the wall, and bagan falling as blissfully as one could when dropping off a cliff. Rightdad barked in frustration and Leftdad yipped in worry, but moved smoothly as one being to be right underneath the orangeblood as he fell.
He was laughing like a mad man as they caught him, and ruffled their heads affectionately as Rightdad grumbled in irritation and Leftdad nuzzled him, checking for injuries Frendo wouldn't bother to mention. When sure that he had heard an earful and was healthy and all in one piece, they let him step away from them. Maybe he would be ready to go now?
"AGAIN!" Frendo cried out, hurrying over to the cliff again with a childs exuberance, letting his lusus know that no, they wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.
Oh boy.
