She insisted, and after remaining fairly silent through most of their conversation, Atona finally chimed in. "So was I. So was Ebony... We aren't trying to get ourselves hurt or killed, we just want to keep you safe. We don't have a death wish, certainly, but... If that's the price, then we'll pay it, just as you would for us. Don't feel guilty for our decision, feel proud that to us, you are a person worth risking our lives for." Isis felt her heart swell at Atona's words, but she still sobbed. It was as if a dam have been broken, relief and sorrow washing over her, flooding the guilt away. "I think... I think I understand now." Isis said after she'd calmed down. She sniffed, wiping her eyes. "Haha... But now, what am I supposed to wish for?" She asked jokingly. She did still want to find out if unown really could grant wishes. "Well... Think about it, and when you're ready, we'll help you." The image of Andreas smiled and suddenly dispersed into several unown, and Isis gasped in surprise. Really she shouldn't have been though, it was rather odd to think that Andreas would have been here, and seemed to know so much. Then again, Isis also wouldn't put it past the woman. She was intimidating, and a better trainer than Isis could ever hope to be, but perhaps that was exactly why the unown had taken her form. The unown looked at her expectantly, waiting for her, and Isis nodded. "Alright Hylia, let's do this." He was probably staying out to make sure she was really safe from the unown. "Alright..." A silence fell over the group for a moment before Isis hesitantly spoke up again. "Atona... ✿ ❀It was as though speaking at all would break him, so even though Isis had many questions, she kept her mouth shut while Atona recomposed himself. "To be blunt, we have already tampered enough with time, let us not push death as well. Even if we could bring Ebony back using the power of the unown, we don't know what effect that will have on you or her, and you already know what happened when we tried in another timeline." Atona sighed. "Unfortunately, I think it is best at this point that you try to move on. Grieve her properly, and let her go. I know she would have appreciated all you've done." Isis frowned. "That's easy to say, but...." Isis sighed as well. "Yes, but it is the truth... And it might seem hard to accept now when your grief is still fresh, but there will come a day when it doesn't hurt as much. It will never truly go away, but that's okay as long as you can manage with the pain. Take it as a sign of how much you loved her, and the bond you shared. Take it as a sign that it was real." His words came from experience, that much was certain. Isis' heart ached for whatever Atona had been through to know this process so well. There was still so much she didn't know about Atona, but some things she just couldn't bring herself to ask him about. This was one of them. ✿ ❀

✿ ❀ As Isis finished capturing a few more unown, she noticed that she'd accumulated quite a few, in fact she was only missing two more. As soon as she noticed this, she felt herself being led into a room with an altar and three pedestals, two of which had black flutes on them. "Play!" A few unown chanted, bouncing around the room. Atona and Isis glanced at one another curiously before stepping over to the altars and both blowing on the flutes simultaneously. On cue, the two unown that Isis had yet to capture appeared, floating over and letting themselves be caught. Now that she had all 28, Isis could feel the room resonating. Suddenly, the alphabet she collected appeared in front of her, forming a sphere as they danced and hummed with vibrant energy. This was it, the legend Leon spoke of, it was all true. Isis had thought more about her wish, and as much as she wanted to bring Ebony back, Atona was right. It was for the best that she just tried to move on. "I need help. I want to move on from my grief, but it's so hard, I just don't know how I can manage... I wish.... I wish I knew how. I wish for some sort of guidance, some clue... Some way I can try to ease this pain in my heart." Isis sighed, looking up to the sphere of unown with resigned hope that they could help her somehow. The sphere suddenly flared in response to her wish, and the unown dispersed, leaving behind a jade colored orb.
"What... What is this?" Isis asked aloud curiously as she approached the orb. "Careful Isis..." Atona warned, warily watching her approach. The moment Isis' fingers grasped the smooth polished surface, she was flung backwards as a massive figure appeared and roared, shaking the entire cave. The rayquaza tied to the orb had appeared, flickering faintly but it's pressure could still be felt from such a close proximity, and it did not look happy to be forced in such a crowded space. It tried to stretch it's large and elongated body, roaring in frustration before suddenly it was gone as soon as it had appeared, seeming to be absorbed into the jade orb.
"Isis... Isis!!!" Atona's voice rang throughout Isis' head, fogy at first but then slowly coming into focus. Isis opened her eyes slowly, looking out of it. "Ngh... Five.... Five more minutes..." She mumbled, and then suddenly snapped back to reality. They were in the ruins, she finished capturing her unown. She made a wish, and then.... Isis shuddered. She had asked for guidance, where the hell did that translate into a crazy rayquaza? Didn't she have enough of those in her life already with Zero and Leon now both----
Oh....
Was that it? Was her rayquaza a sign that she needed their help to move on from Ebony? Or maybe, it was a sign to go talk to Vince, the dragon tamer she'd met to take her rambunctious deino. He would surely know how to handle this beast. Arceus, she didn't know what this orb meant, but she didn't want to think about it now. She needed to find the boys. She'd been separated long enough. Isis continued to push through the halls, however, somehow she wound up at the ruins exit instead, reminding her of the responsibilities of her job that she still had to go do. Tucking the orb away in her bag for now, Isis reached out to Nova. "Nova, can you hear me? I just found the exit to the ruins, and I caught all the unown. Something at work has come up and I need to go, but I'm safe. Tell the boys I'm sorry. I'll make plans with them both again soon to make up for this." Isis waited for Nova's confirmation that she had received her message and passed it along before returning Atona and Hylia and sending out Nocturne so she could fly to this contest event that Liz had informed her of. Hopefully she could find Austin there, or at least find out where he might be. ✿ ❀

Inari pranced eagerly near Nova, staring into the shadows eagerly. She did her part of the deal, now she wanted to play with the darkrai as promised. The Ruunyx pawed at the ground a bit, making an odd, soft barking sound in excitement. Kai had settled down since the ordeal was dealt with, going to his trainer's side as he fell.
Leon accepted Zero's offered hand in help to his feet without much thought, though he quite obviously didn't really need the other's help, made apparent by how very little of his weight was even put into Zero's hand. As the lifeguard brushed himself off, Zero had commented on trying to figure out the unown so they could go find Isis. s**t. He still had a few to go, and looking over to Ren, it didn't seem like there was many of the ones he still hasn't caught showing up. In fact, out of the next group of unown that the navy furred fox dispatched, only one of them was one he still needed for his collection. It was frustrating enough to know that the other male had beaten him at capturing them all, and now it seemed it might take forever to find the remaining letters he needed. Once Leon was up and picked up the one new Unown he encountered, Zero turned his attention back to the room they were now in. Unsurprisingly, any pathway that didn't already have someone in it had disappeared--The ceiling was far lower than it'd been initially, and the semi-spacious room they were in had narrowed until it too was almost a hallway, with only two corridors which intersected with it. Since Ren was busy fighting the Unown in one, that left only one more for them to advance, and after a moment, the young man started towards it. "Come on," he started, "we need to keep going. Hopefully we'll-"
"Isis is done," Nova suddenly chimed in, smiling a little as she relayed the photographer's message to both men. "She just told me she caught all the Unown and managed to get out the ruins. Apparently she had a job to get to, so she seems to have left." The Gardevoir sounded fairly relieved about the situation, smiling softly to the two trainers.
Zero blinked a few times, turning to Nova only once he processed the information. Isis is already gone? He thought to himself. s**t... Well, at least she's safe. Letting out a breath, the young man turned back towards the hall, beginning to walk down it once he was sure the other male was close behind. "Well, I guess there's not as much of a rush, then." As much as he wanted to leave immediately and rejoin Isis, Zero knew he couldn't get away with just leaving Leon and warping over to wherever she went. Besides, if Leon really was claustrophobic, then it was best he stay until the guy was done, since Nova would've been doing the heavy lifting keeping it in check.
As he thought quietly to himself about ditching the lifeguard and why he couldn't get away with that, Zero slow made his way down the hall. However, where he'd grown used to the darkness, he nearly frozen when he finally felt a warm light washing over him, and the soft crunch of grass being flattened beneath his feet. He paused for a moment, before finally looking up to find the hallway opening up into a wide, open field after turning a corner. There was a horizon with waves of grass shifting in the wind, and it felt as if the sun was truly hovering over them in a real sky. That's...not supposed to be here.

Inari bounded off to play with the Darkrai, barking at the shadowy walls and pawing at the floor. She was more than willing to drag the pokemon out with her tails if she had to. While she attempted to play with the darkrai, she still managed to stay near enough to not get separated.
Leon gave a nod as Zero started to lead the way, mentioning they should keep going. However, Nova interrupted to announce that Isis had already finished and left the ruins for a job. The lifeguard was both frustrated and a bit relieved at the news. At least he didn't have to worry about her being lost in the ruins all on her own. Though that still left him here with Zero, and annoyingly in last place for this unown catching race. "Well... at least she isn't lost in some hallway somewhere." he sighed with a shrug. Ren was plowing through unown, but none of this batch were any of the letters that Leon needed. The vulpix was starting to feel tired, but also, stronger. It was an odd feeling. The navy fox trotted over to follow the group as they moved on... to greener pastures?
"This can't be real..." Leon muttered as he found himself walking on grass with Zero. Ren was more than happy to accept this grass over the dirty old floors of the ruins he'd been fighting on. Kai seemed to have a minimal reaction to the change of scenery, letting out a grunt as he continued alongside his trainer.

Unaware that Nova had sold her out, Nevermoor only had a moment to slink away from Inari, pulling back the shadows out of the reach of her tails. She tried to keep up with the trainers while still keeping herself from being caught by the excited fox, her actions seeming more like a game of cat and mouse than the desperate evasion she was trying to perform.
When the two men stepped into an open field, there was a moment of shock that gave Zero pause. The Unown had certainly proved that they were capable of shifting and bending reality... But to actually create a space like this? Perhaps their reputation as wish granters wasn't entirely unwarranted... Once he regained his composure a bit more, the young man started to walk forward, reaching a hand out for where the walls had been a moment ago. His palm sifted through the open air, no boundary on either side seemingly existing. "And here I was doubting their power..." He joked, noting the distinct breeze that flowed from one of the horizons.
He could see more Unown floating about in the distance, and some who drew closer than others. He ignored those that drew into striking distance, knowing that Leon still needed to get his hands on a few more, and simply moved towards the center of the space, sitting between both the path they came in through, and presumably an exit, situated some distance across on the opposite end.

Inari pounced on Nevermoor's shadow along the way, jabbing tails in to try and capture her and pull her out to play. Her playful barks were echoing through the area. It was obvious that she wasn't going to leave the darkrai be. "Play! Play! Play!" she yipped.
While Zero made himself comfortable and took a seat in this new, strange area, Leon turned his attention back to Ren and the unown. This time, out of a group of ten unown, only one was a letter he had yet to capture. After capturing it, he only had four left to find to complete his collection. This was starting to get rather frustrating. While the other male hadn't been outwardly pressuring him to finish up, he still felt as if he was just holding the other back. Unfortunately, telling Zero to go on without him wasn't really an option, since Nova was responsible for keeping his claustrophobia at bay.

While Leon and Ren continued to focus on the unown, Kai was sniffing about and found something. It seemed like some kind of item wrapped in a blue cloth. The gator picked it up in his mouth gently, bringing it to Leon just as he had finished capturing one of the unown. "Oh, hey there Kai. What did you find?" Leon asked his starter, taking the found 'package' from his mouth. He unraveled to the cloth to find that it was a choice scarf wrapped around a black flute. Black flute... Wait! that was perfect! This one flute made three, which matched exactly the number of unown he still needed to complete his collection. He pulled out his other three flutes, playing them one at a time with each letter he still needed in mind. It worked perfectly, and the last of them were caught without problem. Ren was relieved when the flood of unown finally stopped. Or, at least, any 'hostile' ones. The vulpix trotted back over to Leon, hoping that it was actually over now.
"Finally. I've got the whole set." he commented, more to himself than anything. All that was left was a complicated feeling as he tried to think of the wording of a wish that he had. There was plenty of things to wish for, but he wanted to be careful since if the wish was real and the unown might decide to mess with poor choice of words, he wanted to be sure.

While Leon worked his way through the last of his collection, Zero seemed to busy himself making note of the properties of the new environment. He ran his hand along the earth to feel the soft dirt, and plucked out a few blades of grass to find them surprisingly genuine. He paid little mind to Nevermoor as she unwittingly indulged the little fox, using what control over the shadows she had to start dragging Inari around like she were a sled dog of some kind. Were it not for the gaping, one-sided holes in space at either end of him, he'd almost think that they were actually out of the ruins. Letting out a breath, he eventually rose back up when Leon finished catching the Unown, ready to finally leave this place and get-
"Halt, travelers!" A voice suddenly boomed from over the horizon. The words echoed into the distance, the direction of the source largely unclear. Zero snapped into attention, assuming a stance ready to move at a moment's notice, and reaching for the various balls on his belt. Nova and Yin slipped to his side at the same time, prepped for battle with whatever spoke... At least, until the sun flared into a blinding radiance, completely covering the area with brilliant rays of color. "If you intend to leave, then you'll be bringing me as well."
Zero held his arm over his eyes until the light faded, visibility returning when it became far less intense. And what he found standing before him was its source; A Ho-oh. An almost tribal symbol appeared to be where the light came from, a floating emblem that appeared between its wings when it drew them back. It moved on black wings, with its outermost feathers alternating with a pattern of shimmering gold and a burnt red, almost shifting back and forth between the two regularly. The same went for its tail feathers, making it almost resemble a turkey to some degree. "I've spent too long in this faux space, I will not waste away here any longer."

Out Of Ball:
Leon, admittedly, was not paying too much attention to Zero as he was trying to think of his wish and the specific wording. Just when he thought he had it, he looked over to see a large, oddly colored bird pokemon - a Ho-oh - approaching Zero with it's flashy wings. It honestly looked a lot like a turkey. Nonetheless, it was still an amazing sight, seeing a legendary in this strange area. He couldn't help but wonder if it was just some kind of illusion by the unown.
Ren huffed at Leon's feet, glad that all that training was over. He wanted to get out of this place and be groomed and pampered for all that hard work. As if reading his mind, Kai had leaned over the fox and gave him a lick, only to have the opposite effect, causing the vulpix to shudder in disgust at the gator's definition of 'cleaning'. Now Ren really wanted a bath. A real one.
Inari was highly amused as Nevermoor dragged her around with some of the shadows she could still control. Leon looked away from the Ho-oh to focus on that wish again, closing his eyes. He was thinking of Isis and her loss of Ebony, and how he wanted to help her some how. 'I wish for new beginnings' he thought, then wondered if that was enough for this mythical wish that unown could grant. Was this even how this sort of thing worked? He opened his eyes to see if anything had changed, if the unown had even heard him. He was sure that they were psychic types, so it wouldn't be completely out of the realm of possibilities, right? "Granted." an echoing voice responded to Leon. However, the only thing before him was an egg. A pale blue pokemon egg. Leon was very confused about this. This was definitely not what he had wished for. However, he picked up the egg anyways, cradling it in his arms. "... and this is why you should be careful what you wish for, huh?" he muttered lowly to himself before turning back to join Zero and his pokemon. And the odd Ho-oh. "Hey, so, are we all set to go now then?" Leon asked Zero.

"Yeah, yeah," the young man replied, dusting a mess of the brightly-colored feathers off his body. "I'm ready to go." Zero was just as eager to get out of the ruins as everyone else, so he kept his conversation with the legendary bird short. Unsurprisingly, the Ho-oh had also come to investigate the gathering of Unown, and got trapped in this pseudo-space for his troubles. Fortunately, a pokeball would make getting him out of their easy enough, and as soon as it was squared away, he made his way back to Leon and Nova, returning the rest of his pokemon before placing a hand on the psychic's shoulder. "Just make sure all your pokemon are accounted for before we warp out of here. I'd hate it if we lost someone on accident in here... Again."
As he spoke, the silver-haired male found his gaze drawn downwards, to the large egg he held in his arms. The pale blue reminded him of a somewhat gentle lake, or perhaps even a sea in its design, though he couldn't tell what pokemon it actually belonged to. "...So that's your wish, I'm guessing? I guess they really can grant that sort of thing..." Musing, he didn't quite seem to realize that he too technically had access to a wish of some kind now, while he still had all these Unown, nor notice that he had yet to make a wish.

Out Of Ball:
Normally, Leon might actually be impressed by being in the presence of a legendary such as the Ho-oh, but having spent so much time around Delta recently had sort of desensitized him to it. Not to mention, the strange colors and that they were still in the ruins. He waited while Zero and the bird seemed to converse for a bit, examining the egg in his arms. It was a bit hefty, and felt cool to the touch. Not icy, but a soothing kind of cool. Kind of like a gentle splash of water from the ocean in the summer. He wasn't sure why or how, but he knew that whatever the egg contained, it was still alive despite the cooler temperature of the shell. It was more like a gut feeling, he supposed. The lifeguard looked up when the presence of the Ho-oh disappeared into a ball belonging to Zero. So, it was a real Ho-oh? Maybe it was just the fact he was tired of being in these ruins, and even though Nova was doing her best to help him with his claustrophobia, now that he didn't have the unown battles to focus on, he was starting to feel a bit unnerved.
"Right." Leon agreed as Zero mentioned making sure his pokemon were all accounted for. He looked down at Ren, who looked absolutely desperate for some escape, keeping his distance from Kai. After shifting the egg a bit into the crook of his right arm, Leon managed to return Ren and Inari back to their balls, relieving Nevermoor from any torment the shadow puppeteer fox might have been exposing the darkrai to. Kai grumbled a bit by his side, tail swaying as he put his snout towards the egg to give it a sniff. All of Leon's pokemon were accounted for, and everything seemed in order for them to leave.
Leon couldn't help but feel a bit judged as Zero assumed that the egg was what he had wished for. "Tch... And was that overgrown turkey your wish?" he snipped, re-situating the egg in his arms. It was not what he had wished for, but maybe the unown knew something about it that he did not? Either way, he wasn't going to leave this egg behind. It kind of... called to him, in a way. "Anyways, I'm all set to go." he added in a slightly more amiable tone.
