After the last job he did with his so-called "crew" ended, there was a serious falling out over the payment distribution and, unfortunately, Grimsley and his easy meal ticket had flown the coop so to speak. A bit of time had passed since then and he had used what little money he had to wander around, somehow, ending up on Clockwork Island. As a kid, Grim had heard stories of this place and wished he could have seen it when it was still balanced on that massive stone pillar that held it so high in the sky. But, the city and its restoration looked just as appealing to his eyes so he wasn't complaining. The city on Clockwork Island was rather vast and had several twists and turns, alleys and pathways, all leading to every inch of the city. After a bit of wandering about, taking in the sights of the city, his stomach started to growl a little bit. "Man... it's been such a long time since I had anything decent other than Mochi... " he said as he stopped in his tracks and spoke to himself, rubbed his growling stomach. "I don't even really like Mochi all that much...." he said under his breath as he continued to walk through the city, looking for a place to get something to eat.
He searched for a few hours, finally settling for a sketchy looking place. He would have rathered going somewhere else, but with the short change he had in his pockets, this place was probably the only place he could afford without having to spend time washing dishes to pay off his debt. He walks up a short set of stairs that lead into the elevated restaurant, inhaling the smell of the roasting meat. sauteing vegetables and the smell of strong alcohol. His mouth instantly began to salivate as he made his way to the bar and sat down at one of the empty stools. A small grin crept across his face as he saw just what they'd been preparing prior to his arrival. Tons of steak, vegetable kabobs and tankards of ale and rum sitting on the back counter. In all his excitement, Grim called to someone behind the bar. "Oi! Can I get a mug of your cheapest booze and a Kabob?" he said with a toothy grin, now completely eclipsing his smirk from earlier. The gentleman from behind the bar turned to him and gave a small nod and a smile.
A few minutes passed as the man took time to cook and finish whatever he was doing, he looked around the place. Not as bad as he thought when seeing from the outside, but regardless this place had a sense of danger to it for some reason, though he couldn't place his finger on it at first. After a bit of waiting, his food and drink was delivered to him. Grim inhaled the smell of the food and drink, making him all the more hungry. He gladly started to dig into the meal, though the meal was short lived.
As much as he tried to ignore it, there was a group that was causing a minor racket present within the restaurant. Loud, being disruptive, breaking things. All them seemed to be plastered, and it was barely into the evening. Annoyed, he continued to ignore it for the time being til finally the trouble came to him. About half way through his meal, two of the men from the table of 4 came up to the bar and shouted at the keep behind the counter to give them more drinks, slamming their hands on the counter a little too close to Grim's meal. Leaning onto him to try to keep themselves propped up, Grim finally snapped and forcefully shrugged them off and turns himself from the stool to face them. "Hey! Jackasses, get off me. I'm trying to enjoy myself here!" he shouted at a burly looking man, about a foot or so taller than him. The two men stumbled back slightly, after being forced off, listening to Grim but not liking what he had to say.
"The hell is your problem kid!? Don't gotta be so loud, we was just trying to keep our party goin!" the burly man shouted back, grabbing one of the glass mugs from another table and smashing it onto Grims head, causing his ears to ring for a moment after it shattered over his head. Grim went down after the one hit, passing out for a bit, and in the middle of his meal too. A bit of time passed after he came to, he was being tended to by one of the barmaids and the owner was standing over him too, assessing what had happened. "Oh s**t.... my head.... what... what happened.... where-" he said, trying to keep himself from passing out again, nearly doing so mid-sentence. "Calm down kid, those men always cause us trouble but they pay good money so we put up with them. I'm sorry that happened to you all the same." he said, apologetically. After regaining some control over himself, Grimsley got back to his feed and put his money on the bar's counter, playing his bill. The owner of the place quickly addressed Grim, telling him he didn't have to pay after what had happened. All Grim did was shake his head and address the man back. "I don't like to be indebted, plus I have a feeling my fortunes are about to get much greater...." he said with anger in his eyes and blood running down his face. "Just point me in their direction if you please..." he said to the owner, clarifying by asking who they were and such. After getting the information, Grimsley left the building and noticed that it had turned to night. Just how long was he out he wondered.
After some time had passed, he finally managed to pin down where the the group was. Unfortunately though, it seems that all the others went home and only the man who cracked Grim's skull open was the only one out still. Luckily, he's the one he wanted in the first place. He followed him around at a distance til it was early into the morning, pitch black outside and late enough so no one was around to see what he was about to do. Grimsley was watching him from rooftops for the last bit of it, biding his time to strike. Eventually, he picked his moment and came jumping down at the man, landing a drop heel kick on the top of his head, slamming him into the ground. Before the man had a chance to yell, Grimsley turned one of his arms into his Mochi powers, while pulling the mans head up with his other hand. He quickly covered the mans mouth and started to let it seem over him as he made more and more over it.
He let him get a good look at who just got the drop on his before continuing with his plan. Grimsley only whispers quietly to the man as he made muffled struggling noises, the Mochi covering him up to his waste, from the neck down. "Maybe next time, don't be such a d**k to people you don't know... especially when they can easily kill you like I can right now" he said with a sinister grin. Eventually he covered the man entirely in a "cocoon" of mochi, aside from his nose area. He didn't want to kill him really, just wanted to scare him and make some quick cash. Grimsley quickly searched the man and pockets some quick cash as well as some more rings. He might as well start a collection! Grim decides to get to a place to sleep before heading out in a couple hours, just in case the authorities come after him for what he did.
