It was good to be back in New Hemisect on a more permanent basis, even if that meant that she had to be more careful than she ever had been as a kid. Well, more aware at the least. Being too careful took the fun right out of life most of the time, and it was entirely too tempting to fall back into being herself anytime she could get away with it. She spent enough time as Faithe in the public, so she figured there was nothing wrong at all with slipping her mask back on and taking back from her city every now and then.
Keeper could scold her later, but she had taken care to do her thieving in a part of the city she never had bothered with much when she was younger. There was a nice little food market over here that she wished she'd known about back then, and it was just the right time of night that it was packed full of trolls of several castes trying to get a good price on their vegetables and whatnot. Honestly, pickpocketing in this environment was practically child's play, but it was always good to keep one's skills practiced. Great thieves never stopped!
Laughing to herself, she worked her way in and got to work.

Inakov meant to spend more time in New Hemisect every month, honestly, but every time the crowds were a little excessive and the shopkeepers coming on a little too strong and she had to make a swift exit before the clamor of it all became too much. Today they all seemed to be concentrated in one spot -- maybe there was a highblood over there? -- which was good for her: it meant that she could sit and rest, let Bundad graze on someone's tiny lawnring as soon as she'd seen them slip out the door to go shopping...
Well, at least she'd been aiming to, but she stumbled over an uneven piece of ground - bubble popping, hair flying wildly before she regained her balance - and, hey, was that brownblood picking someone else's pocket? Inakov wouldn't make a move just yet, but she'd always admired stealth, it couldn't hurt to shadow this teen for a few minutes.

Maybe this kind of pickpocketing wasn't the most exciting use of her great talents, but there was still something altogether pleasant about how easy it still was for her. Her time away in the swamp and then in disguise hadn't slowed her down at all. Swiping another small prize off a troll while they were distracted looking over a table, Etsali kept moving through the crowd, scanning for another target. Who knew, maybe something a little more challenging would appear!
After a minute or two, she failed to find a great and convenient challenge, but something about the crowd felt different anyway. She let another easy pick slip by untaken, trying to suss out what was gradually putting her on edge. Fingers tapping her side, she shifted to glance back behind her. Was she being watched? A drone would have already been after her for arresting if they'd seen her at work, she was sure, but there'd been none of that. They weren't a sneaky lot.
Coming to a decision, she made for an alleyway up ahead, just past a couple more of the market booths, and carefully kept her pace the same casual thing it had been along. If someone really was trailing her, they'd jump at the chance to corner her in there, wouldn't they? And she'd be ready.

Was she being watched? Yes, no, maybe so. Inakov wouldn't have called it something so paltry as watching; stalking, maybe, scoping out the situation. She was always prone to little flights of fancy with her words, when she took the time to think about them (which was often), even if nobody was likely to ever ask.
She liked to think well of herself, after all. She'd be great one day, if she could figure out what her talents were.
All the same she followed Etsali, chewing her gum all the while, sedately wandering into the alleyway.
