	The fact Gloom had never had a bath before was a concern. However, after having managed to give the living embodiment of shadows a bath, he found he had a new concern. That he had created a monster. Gloom liked the bath, (which was very understandable), but he might have liked it a bit too much. All in all, it was a success. Gloom was clean, smelling quite nice, and soon, they'd be off to the bookstore to try and win the favor of Gloom's infatuation. "So. On a scale of one to ten, one being good, ten being fantastic, how are you feeling after the bath? Like you can do this?" If he could help Gloom, he would. The tiny shadow deserved happiness and companionship. It was as they both had glossed over- it was hard to feel lonely.

	"Eleven! Eleventy!" he chittered, feeling very fluff and adorable. Gloom did not always feel very fluff and adorable but he did so right now and that was what mattered. "Marcusfriend is the best for helping Gloom!" Thankfully he was not shaking off the water and content to be towel dried. Also that he was not actually a smelly thing (because now he smelled even better than before). iStoleYurVamps

	The marten was utterly a joy really. Shadows were an odd bright spot in an otherwise Gloomy town when rain could pour in and grey the skies or fog would hold everything in a strange stagnation. A terribly wonderful contrast of a being to a notion that their name and color might bring. "Eleven huh? Good to know. Baths are an important part of hygiene and you should always try to be clean. Plus you can sometimes just take them to spoil yourself." Not that Marcus was one such person to lay in a tub for half an hour because it was warm and he didn't want to get out. The fluffy Gloom was picture worthy, and Marcus held back asking to snap a photo or two to share with a few of the other Ashdown residents who knew of shadows friend. A rub to cheeks and a scratch under the chin and Gloom was deemed perfectly dry and ready to go. "Okay. You have that uh, vest right? I dunno if I have anything you could wear or make you look better. I mean." He didn't even have a little coat like they sold at pet store given he didn't own a pet. "I mean I have a little outfit made to be put on a wine bottle in storage but don't think that would work. Bah, How you feeling about seeing her? Ready to knock her socks off and make her swoon?" azuredreams

	"Gloom likes spoiling himself, yes," he chirped pleasantly. This absolutely meant he would figure out ways to do them in the future. His nose twitched as he was dried off, mostly because water dripped off of it. "... ah, Gloom can get his vest! If Marcusfriend can help? Sometimes it's better with two and it can hurt here if Gloom tries things on his own ..." His tail swished from side to side once it was dry. "Gloom thinks she will think Gloom is very ... dapper! 	Gloom was one Marcus anticipated spoiled himself and got others to spoil him as well. How could he not with a face like that? Another fluff from the towel, he laughed and nodded his head at the shadow's statement, thinking nothing of it. "Tell me what to do Gloom, I'm happy to help you look as dapper as well..." He didn't really know many dapper figures. Not his forte. "You''ll be very dapper. And she will have to be impressed hrm? Lets' hope to it shall we?" azuredreams dapper quest 2k16

	"Y'gotta ... turn the lights off. We need more shadows to help. Can Marcusfriend make the lights go off for a little bit?" Gloom looked up to him expectantly because, obviously, he had no idea how to work a light switch. He had barely just learned how to work a television remote. iStoleYurVamps

	"Oh yeah sure just give me a second-" Setting gloom down on the counter, Marcus proceed to turn off the lights, also closing the curtains to help create a bit more darkness for shadow aka Gloom to work with. 	Now- puttinga hand on Gloom could have meant a lot of things, But Marcus did what came first to his own mind. A gentle pat to the head followed by sratches. "Like this?" azuredreams lol its all gravy

	Gloom purred a little at the scritches and his tail swished. "Yes, just like that!" It was close enough, at least, for what he was going to do. There was a feeling of a light pull, a tug at his navel, but then it faded as Gloom worked his magic with Marcus's help. The shadows seemed to darken, lengthening in places as the shadow marten's form took on something more intangible like it was in other ashdown. They seemed to come alive, licking at Marcus's feet and there, visible and hanging in the shadows as if it was on a hanger, was a little bow tie and a smart tiny jacket. Marcus just needed to take it. iStoleYurVamps

	Marcus was never sure how magic worked- only that it did and he could maybe do something about it. He was, as it were, ignorant of his own powers. That didn't mean however that he'd shy away from magic wholesale. Gloom made magic more approachable, more tangible, shadows or no- he lifted his hand up, plucking the little bow and jacket ensemble as if they had simply been placed there for convenience. "Quite the fancy stuff. I'm sure she'll be very impressed." Tiny clothes in hand- now came the odd part- how do you dress a shadow marten made of magic? azuredreams how DO u dress a shadow marten

	Once the items were taken, the shadows dissipated and Gloom seemed to shiver. Or, at least, he wiggled and shadows became fur once more. It sounded like he let out a sigh and then raised himself up on his hind legs to inspect what Marcus had grabbed. "It was picked out for me by a Noble, a very nice noble." Gloom wiggled his arms. "Can y'help Gloom slip the jacket on? Then the bow?" iStoleYurVamps

	Helping the marten get dressed was an experience in and of itself. Who knew how wiggly Gloom and shadows could be? But once dressed, the man nodded. "Looking mighty fine I think Mister Gloom. Shall we go pay our lady friend a visit and see about at least getting you introduced?" He left the being briefly to go to the door, opening it up for him. "Book store doesn't close for a while but, if she's there, we'll want to go soon before the typical nine to five day ends." azuredreams

	Gloom was a noodle, it was expected to be wiggly. He let out a happy near chirp noise and wriggled in his outfit. "Gloom is very spiff!" At the door he did pause nervously. "Yes, we can. Y'think she will like Gloom like this?" he asked very softly, following Marcus. iStoleYurVamps
