He's a really feisty and jumpy boy. He always wants to get what he wants and tends to be a bit pugnacious and starts too many fights for his own good.

Because of this, he aligned himself with the Dragon Army. He was in control of his own life, not some un-see-able thing. He was proud and adamant that he was right. Maybe, that's what got him into trouble when the war finished off. He couldn't bring himself to say his beliefs were wrong, but he did not want to die yet. If he died, then who would carry on this mindset of choice in life? So, he ran, and vowed to help others who did as well.

Rinya
She's calm and really prefers a quiet life than going all over. She would prefer to settle down in one place than go all over travelling. Sure, she maybe missing out on the experience, but she just likes it that way.

However, during the war, Rinya preferred to stay a pacifist. She could not stand fighting over beliefs. While she believed there was a Grand Weaver out there, she also believed that beliefs were private. Forcing a belief on someone meant that they probably didn't really believe it. She did lose her home, and had to be on a constant move, but she refused to fight others and force them to see the world her way. After the war, Rinya stayed with the phoenix army, and she had to rebuild her life all over again. War was such a mess.
