The pain was terrible, her body hurt and ached all over but it was her face that burned with agony. Azar felt warmth flow down her thinly furred cheeks and patter to the hard ground. She couldn't open her eyes and when she tried the pain worsened. Despite it all she knew staying here wasn't an option. She needed to get away, far away. The war was over for her now and to save what was left of herself she had to leave the fire tribe. A once confident and strong female has finally been brought low and Azar felt it deep within her soul.

With the use of her telekinesis, she pulled the scarf from around her neck and carefully tied it around her eyes. Luckily, she pulled herself together enough to recall her general surrounding and rise painfully to her feet. Feeling out with her mind and paws, Azar slowly made her way towards the fringes of the fire tribe. She didn't want to go back to the army camp and face all those balam. She felt shame in her failure as a soldier. Instead, Azar made her way north along the fringe and left the tribe altogether.

She moved blindly through unfamiliar terrain. Fear of leaving but fear of what and who lay behind her overcame the fear of beyond. She force each foot to take each step to get away. The blood was drying and matting her fur and pulled when she flinched. For being in a lot of pain, her solider training and adrenaline kept her going and Azar was able to get a safe distance away from the fire tribe. Using her ears and telekinesis, she knew that there wasn't anyone around and let out a sigh of relief.

Darkness suddenly overtook her mind as the adrenaline of her escape faded and she collapsed onto a bed of sweet grass and meadow flowers.

Heavenly Snow

He was starting to believe there was nothing but evil in this beautiful land of fire and rock. Something about it seemed spoiled to him and it gave a sour taste in his mouth and tugged at his soul like a heavy fog. He knew his time here was going to be limited, but he refused to leave before helping out whomever he could in the meantime. He was needed here. And that was what kept him.

The smell of blood was what curled his stomach currently and his tail drooped behind him at the thoughts of what could of caused the smell to hang in the air, like static before a storm. The paroo at his side cocked it's head and looked up towards him and then took flight. He knew they'd find the center of the source and report back to him.

It wasn't long before Leukos flew back and circled around his head and then disappeared in a particular direction. Viti followed, his pawsteps light and delicate as his hair swayed against his face gently. The land changed from rock to grass and the un-easement of danger passed, but the alarming scent of blood still lingered. Finally he came across her. A fallen nan, one who's colors matched his own in a way. The blood was hers.

"Are you alright?" He called out, his voice soft and delicate. He didn't want to frighten her. He could see from his position that it was from her face and he could only imagine the damage that had been done to her physically, let alone what was going on with her spiritually and mentally. He wouldn't leave her here, not like this.

Azar found herself walking in a rocky part of the fire territory. Her view of her surroundings was hazy at the edges and she blinked her golden eyes several times to clear it but it wouldn't go away. She shook her head and kept walking. There was no one around and everything was eerily silent. Her body began to tense and her nerves stood on end. Azar paused and smelled the air, it reeked of blood and she recoiled. It was as if death hung in the air.

She approached the marketplace and it was silent and empty. Vendor stalls where quiet and there was no hustle and bustle of busy balams. Azar trotted over to a central fountain, looking about her for signs of other balam but none appeared. Azar sighed and leaned over and looked into the still water of the fountain. A gaunt face with black holes where the eyes should be and blood flowing from the sockets grimaced back and her and she jumped back in shock.

Azar took off and ran away from the fountain and the marketplace. Ran from the stillness and the smell and the silence. She ran to work off the tenseness in her muscles before slowing down again. Azar then heard a scraping sound, one ear pivoted toward the sound and waited for it to repeat. She looked up and suddenly General Smaug leaped out at her. She startled into fright and her vision shattered and she was falling.

Azar's eyes flew open and she cried out from fear and pain as the blood has started to mat the fur around her eyes. The world was dark. Her eyes where open but the world remained dark. She felt warmth from the sun but could see no sun. The adrenaline from her nightmare started to fade and she could feel she wasn't alone. A tahtil was near but she felt no malice towards her. She tried to turn to face towards him as she felt out for him. "Hello?"

Heavenly Snow

He couldn't help but feel his heart break for the Nan before him, it was clear she couldn't see, the damage that had been done to her eyes was to great. He doubted even a skilled healer could help her see again. Though he was certain in time she'd be able to see in other ways.

"My dear, have no fear from me. I am only wanting to help you." He said in reassurance to her hoping she believe him. He could only imagine what kind of creature had done this to her and he gave a heavy frown. He looked around, he wondered if Leukos was nearby. "Is it okay if I touch you? I'd like to lead you to water so we can get you cleaned up."

He hoped it was alright he did that. He wanted to help her the best he could and perhaps get her something to cover her eyes. He had plenty of scarfs he could give to her for that. They needed to heal, even if she would never see from them again and keeping them free from dirt and debris would be the second step after getting them cleaned.
