INQUISITIVE STUDENT
Jordan is interested in anything and everything, endlessly curious about all sorts of things. He is equally as interested in people as in academic subjects, and likes to know things, talk to people, and share knowledge. He's persistent in seeking out information on what he's currently interested in, though he tries to be diplomatic about it, and keeps personal secrets, his own and others, carefully guarded. He's on the whole a friendly, polite, and persuasive person, if sometimes a little reserved.
GOING IT ALONE
It's not so much that Jordan doesn't trust other people; it's more that he doesn't really think that others will think to help him. As a result, while he's happy to lend a hand with other people's problems, he often struggles with his own problems alone long beyond the point when he needs help. He tends to be a private person, and is more likely to keep his problems and negative feelings to himself. He'll accept help if someone notices and offers it, but this always surprises him.
Some people interpret this tendency as a lack of trust or as arrogance, and he's lost a few friends to it. In hindsight, he sometimes thinks that he should be more willing to ask for help and open up about his problems, but it rarely occurs to him in the moment. He's much more likely to offer support to his friends than to suggest or accept that he needs support. He's ambivalent about this, aware that it places an extra burden on him but reluctant to share what might burden others.
