The Earth Tribe lands weren't the most exciting.
Nor were they particularly interesting in their topography. Heh. Ruse wasn't sure how he'd come up with that word. He'd leave it to his Water contacts to divine the course of his evolving cartography language.
Instead he'd opted for ground exploration today, a smaller spread of land for a detailed map. That and he needed to recharge after flying consistently in heavy winds for what seemed like a fortnight. He'd probably only been out half that time.
That's how he found himself trekking slowly over rolling wildflower smattered hills, measuring distance absently by tail lengths and referencing the sun as he chicken scratched notations on a crude map outline. Honestly, he still sucked at drawing and writing. Thank goodness for the Water Tribe contacts. Cresting the top of a steep hill that had Ruse panting lightly, his eyes were immediately drawn to a spot at just at the bottom of the hill. Brilliant yellow, surrounded by a spill of elbow high wildflowers in soft pink and bright lavenders.
Curious.
Leaping forward from his position, his wings snapped open, pumped once then he glided just over the ground only to find the golden yellow was another Wind B'alam. As he came in close, Ruse back winged to drop softly to the ground, noticing as he did so the somewhat lost look on the female.
"Anything I can help you with?" He offered sedately, the edge of inherent charm adding another layer to his baritone drawl. He rarely saw other Wind out on their own. Usually pairs or more. Not a little lady all by her lonesome.
