The snowball hit its mark. It busted apart across the back of the purpleblood's jacket. The purpleblood in question flinched in surprise and pivoted in search of their assailant. Before they could start in the direction of the two boys, another purpleblood of similar age emerged from the crowd before them. Their friend had returned from a nearby stall holding two drinks, which seemed to be enough to distract the first troll from continuing their search. Sascha watched the pair talk animatedly, probably about the snowball, before the crowd closed between them. He exhaled quietly.

He turned back to Guouli with a skeptical expression at odds with the tension and relief he'd been secretly experiencing. One hurdle cleared with his image intact. He almost had the gall to look pleased before Guouli made his comment. Sascha's face soured immediately.

"Tell her all you want; it won't make any sense if you don't got any teeth, you a**." Sascha socked Guouli in the shoulder.

"Heh." Guo took the socking in stride. Lowblood earned that much, for all his gumption. "I lose my teeth, you lose your teeth. Maybe your tongue, too. Wouldn't be fun for you either, eh, buddy?" He elbowed Sascha with a wink.

Guouli then folded his arms behind his head. "It'd be a shame, though. I like the stupid s**t that comes out of your mouth. Y'know, you're not too bad for a pissblood. Sometime, when we don't have to wear a bajillion layers and we can get away from our lusii again, we should totally have a knife fight!"

Sascha's eye-rolling muscles were gonna get sore with this kid. He puffed out his chest defiantly, only to deflate with a huff as Guouli elbowed him in the ribs. Sascha replaced the posture with folded arms. Despite his better judgement, the air of haughtiness subsided at Guouli's compliment.

"Yeah, fine. Wouldn't wanna ruin my good coat on any shitty knife of yours," he smirked. Such a plan would require sneaking both himself and his deer horn knives out from under his lusus's supervision. Still, the idea was intriguing enough to entertain. Perhaps come summer he'd be considered mature enough to knife fight like a proper adult.

As if summoned by her charge's foolhardiness, Bagwormother crawled out from the Bloodfest foot traffic. Sascha tossed her a nod and a smile. She responded with a relieved, if surprised chitter upon finding Sascha unscathed. Or at least, no further scathed than he was after emerging from the Assjacked booth. Sascha patted her between the ears and turned back to Guouli.

"You gonna hit any more booths before heading out?" Sascha asked conversationally and not at all as a subject change from scheduling a fight.
