One leg of the journey on the way to the Earth Tribe where Kaito and Kailei are blessed with cubs which will then join their parents journey until they are adults.  

[Zakiax]

Kalei had woken up to quite the surprise. Nestled between her and her mate was quite the pile of cubs. She did not want to wake her mate, as for he had come back quite late that night from his patrols. Kaito had been quite busy leading their troupe across the plains. She wanted to let him sleep, however she did not want him to miss the awakening if their blessing. After their talk about his encounter with Naoki, the two had been praying to the weaver for some cubs of their own. They had wanted some little balls of energy and joy to bring some life into their journey and their prays had been answered.

Though the amount of cubs they received was much more then they had expected. The two had only carved a few of the idols in their prayers, but the weaver had granted them with several more then they had carved. They would be a handful, but hopefully the rest of their band would help and chip in with raising them. It was a hope, she hoped that everyone in their band liked cubs.

She nudged her mate a bit trying to wake him softly as she kept her golden eyes upon the pile of fluff waiting for them to open their own eyes to the world.

She felt protection as she laid down on this warmth and softness. She could sleep all day, this place making her not want to leave. But her body was telling her to open her eyes and look around, telling her that there was more to experience.

So she did. She opened her eyes, and didn't see anything at first but light pierced her eyes making them blur and blink then the world came into focus and what she saw first was the color blue (which would be her favorite color later on) her eyes traveled over the blue until she saw swirls of orange and pink. Then two orbs of orange that blinked at her.

Alabaster fur shifted and rolled as life filled her tiny little body. Sensations rushed in all at once, filling her newly awakened mind with far too much all at once. The cub mewed, unsure how else to deal with the rush of senses. Her little paws reached out, pads stretching wide. She gripped the grass below her and kneaded at the ground. When she finally opened her eyes, shortly after the sunlight and the surge of colors blinded her, she took in the small, bundled forms of her siblings nearby. Little blobs of color, paws, and fur. Somehow, she...liked them. They were warm, soft, and somehow familiar.

Something much larger moved just out of the corner of her eye. Curious and startled, she whirled her head around. Her golden eyes went wide and her ears flicked back for a moment. The shock lasted only a moment. This big, fuzzy blob...also felt good. Familiar. It felt like...she didn't know. But quite suddenly, she wanted its attention.

Unsure what to call it, the little cub reached a needy paw out and mewed out again. Words, for the moment, were lost on her.

 

[Zakiax]

The only Tah of the litter began to stir as the sounds of movement from his siblings reached his pink ears. They flicked a bit however he did not yet open his golden eyes. His two-toned nose twitched as smells began to come to him. Slowly he opened eyes eyes to the world, only to be blinded by the light that came with it. "Ugh" he muttered with slight disgust at the light that had blinded him.

It burned by soon he was able to see as his eyes adjusted to the brightness. Soon the rest of the world came into focus around him and he was able to make out the figures of his siblings. He made out several of them, one tried to move to their paws, while another seemed to mew for attention. He stayed where he was watching it all with curiosity.

Soon he would try to move about from his position from the pile but, now he just wanted to observe and take everything in. It was all so new and he wanted to take things a bit slow.


Kailei could not blame Kaito for sleeping through this, as he had been up late keeping watch over their group and their surroundings. She knew that sooner or later he would ware himself out, but she would let him decide that for himself. She would help him in the best way that she could.

The weaver had blessed them with quite the curious bundles they had been praying for. One began to mew for her attention while another seemed to try to settle to her paws, only to trip over the mewing one. "Its alright little one." She spoke in a gentle tone to the mewing one. "Try again." This time her words were directed towards the one who had gotten to its feet.
