[PRP] Heave-ho! [Reemus x Alexin]

Alexin sat down with a thump, wheezing heavily. They hadn't felt this bad in a long time, but perhaps trying to drag planks of wood to their (new) hive whilst they were suffering from some kind of thoractical infection wasn't a good idea. As soon as that thought popped into their head, they thrust it ruthlessly aside. They had to build their hive up. Splitch was injured, which meant they couldn't help, and they'd feel more secure in a proper nest. (We'll leave it up to your discretion which 'they' that was.)

Their new hive was set on the outskirts of the swamp village, an old treehouse with a reasonable setup. Of course to Alexin, who'd grown up in a typical sprawling, expansive (and expensive) blueblood's hive, it wasn't reasonable at all. In fact, it was incredibly subpar. But, they reminded themself often, they were in this for like, blood equality and stuff, right? Okay no, they were in this because they were in love, but they did think judging people on colour was stupid too.

It seemed, they mused as they tried to get their breathing back under control, somewhat counter-intuitive.

A loud thunk off in the distance caught Reemus's attention.

"Mm?" He looked up, spiritual ears perking. His eyesight might be less than stellar but everything else was good as ever. The yellowblood lumbered over to the sound, panting a little in the humidity. He was still getting used to the climate, and more often than not could be found in a simple tanktop. It sponged up the sweat better than the cable-knits Athene liked to make him. For the second time in his life, he would have to change his wardrobe completely. He wasn't a fan.

The big galoot stopped upon seeing another troll around where the noise had come from. He blinked. "Alexin?" Reemus then paused as he heard the other troll continue to make noise. Not good noise. "Crikey, you okay, mate?" Trolls shouldn't breathe like that. It just sounded...broken.

If anything, at least he wasn't the only one having a hard time. Reemus wasn't sure if he was happy about the fact, though.

Alexin was about to reply, then was caught in another fit of coughing, spitting blue-tinged phlegm up. Luckily it was only a tinge, which meant it probably wasn't enough blood to be concerned about, right? ..right? He waved at Reemus, trying to indicate his acknowledgement without having to talk. Finally the wheezing subsided enough for him to get words out, though.

"M'fine mostly, just getting stuff to build m'nest - uh, hive."

He was still wheezing, though.

"Just got a thoratic infection. S'okay, I get them a lot."
