Oh, no. No, no. Not good. Very not good.

The clipboard hovered in the air directly in front of Roselle's face as she looked around, panic in her eyes, before settling back on the clipboard every so often. Her sharp teeth picked at the inside of her mouth as her eyes roamed the walls around her once more.

"Oh, no," the Dark nantlil muttered under her breath, the clipboard lowering slightly. Why was she lost? How could she have gotten lost? She had drew a map so she wouldn't get lost! Not that that mattered right now. Because she was lost.

The clipboard clattered to the floor as she sat on the ground, lowering her belly to the cold stones under her paws. Her brown eyes furiously roved over the map on the board. That corner didn't look like the corner she saw before her. Around it was a larger space than she had drawn. And there shouldn't be another room there. There shouldn't be any rooms on that side of the hallway.

Sighing, Roselle buried her face in the armbands on her front legs, the soft balls brushing her cheeks. What did it matter? Everything in this castle looked the same, no wonder she was lost. Next time she saw Gabriel, she would request a guide. Clearly the map idea wasn't working.

If she ever found anyone again, that was.

User Image "Huh? What's That?"

A nan with spun shadow upon her pelt watched another from a distance cloaked in shadow. A black pelted earth with a crimson mane was beside her. Absent minded the other nan seemed quite lost in the lower town. She'd be quite a perfect target for her new friend Kazumi to practice stealth. Midna turned to her companion with a mischievous little grin. She couldn't help it, small pranks were in her nature and after spending so long looking for a suitable target for Kazumi to practice on. Midna couldn't simply just let his poor nan go. This would be fun too, she'd enjoy a little something like this to take her mind off the rather dull days as of late.

Dark Balam after all were notoriously hard to sneak up on especially in the dark. which is why Midna took so long choosing a target for Kazumi. In the day Dark Balam were as helpless as a cub. With a mysterious reputation
though often Darks were feared. Kazumi, however, had come to actually learn to be one with the dark as luck would have it. Kazumi was quite fearless and that impressed Midna. the Nan had only seen one other earth around and that was Desdemona's Yoliliztli a rather boring fellow from her perspective. Midna wasn't overly interested in the other tribes her home was here in the dark. She'd occasionally read bits in the library as she learned to scribe. Regardless Midna knew her own kind best.

"You should know what do do." Midna spoke to Kazumi as she vanished into the shadow slipping away from the other nan. She wasn't going far though, Midna of course still wanted to watch. She'd explained already to Kazumi so now was for practical training. A smile spread across her face as she found a suitable location to watch from nearby a rooftop shadow. Marrok silently perched nearby.

Kazumi stayed beside midna as best she could. It was difficult to see even with the dim light of fungi she still found herself stumbling. It was frustrating, she envied the darks, they were so graceful in the night on their leather wings. yet she'd been woven an earth, she hated plants and growing things, the only benefit though was she was strong and she was fast. She was also a little vain. She'd practiced almost constantly to improve her speed but in the dark it meant nothing if you couldn't see. She'd been enthralled by stories of the dark tribe mysterious and terrifying they drank blood unlike the rest of Balam kind. They seemed interesting and Kazumi left her home in the earth tribe to find them.

The Nan breathed as Midna found a target. Kazumi gave Midna a nod, the nan in question midna had selected really didn't seem to be paying attention. Kazumi had been practicing under midna's guidance and carefully placing a paw in front of the other as silently as she could she began to move forward. She noticed when the presence of her teacher seemed to vanish. If only she could be that quiet... here goes Kazumi thought to herself.

She kept to the shadows and slid along the shadows, occasionally stubbing her paw on the rocks as she approached.
