[Pelagion goes forward
“You okay, kid?” Pelagion asked, kneeling and offering a lollipop, to no avail... the kid didn't even take it. He set it near the kid, still wrapped. “It'll be okay, whatever's going on. The exit is that way, okay?” he said kindly. But he kind of wanted to go too... deeper in. He picked up carlos and moved on...
Suddenly, there was no moaning. Just water. “Okay, that's definitely strange. I can't even do that.” Pelagion commented – this was some crazy kind of sound illusion or something... so was the boil a visual illusion? It had seemed so... real...
“Huh.” he said, setting Carlos down to inspect the sword. “So, what... this is some kind of adventure puzzle maze, huh.” he said, thoughtfully...

[Pelagion goes east]
“Uh, are you sure thats tea?” Pelagion asked suspiciously, “It doesn't look like...” but Carlos had already drank it, and was apparently... leading the way? That was new.
“Uh, okay.” Well, why not follow the cheshire cat? He'd never been led astray... too far... by the cat before. “Coming!” he said, grabbing his cloak and coming after him...
The mad chase of the cheshire cat led them to a small pile of bright, green, glittering, huming stones. Pelagion reached out to try to grab the cat before he could do something. “Wait up.” he said, squinting at the stones, “There's something funny about them, don't just grab them.” because of course that was what Carlos had been about to do, hadn't he?

[Pelagion goes West]
“Hup.” He handily picked up and huggled the Cheshire cat. “Yep, they're shiny. I'll get you a shiny thing later, but right now, lets go find a place with a less obvious trap...” Yes, trap, because good halloween mazes were supposed to have traps. Sort of.
At the crossroads, he went the other way, not feeling like going back to the spring and the sword again. He walked along for a while before slowing. “Huh, whats this.” he said, squinting at the small tower. There were bones and foul smells and... Hmm.
[Pelagion Investigates]
“Well this just gets wierder.” he grumbled, nudging the tower with a foot. Suddenly, out came a gnome in green body paint, laughing and cackling and biting his ankle before declaring that it wouldn't be long now and returning to their tower. “Ow!” he nearly dropped Carlos, and managed to get the wherwithal to put the cat down properly before shaking his now filthy ankle, “Ow, what in the...”
