Biography: Oriana was born to the king and queen of Demestris, to be there only child due to her mothers inability to carry any longer. The castle was running before Oriana was even awake, the smell of breakfast pastries and freshly cooked meat filling the dining hall to the brim. Oriana's personal maids were on there way to wake the princess, a tall chalice of squeezed fruit and a small serving of those pastries in the arms of the tallest maid. A shorter and stout old woman carried her dress of the day in her arms, careful not to let it drag on the floor. Typically, Oriana would be meeting with her family in the dinning hall, but they started without her, eating with some allies, sending them off wit a breakfast after talks most of the early morning.
They had to meet before the sun rose, so that suspicions would not be raised. If it was found out that Demestris met with allies, anyone could jump to conclusions. Oriana was woken to the sound of her maids knocking. "Come in." Rubbing her eyes the woman stood, nightgown off one shoulder. The maids went over the days plans as they let her eat, the only thing out of place was a meeting with her parents soon after dressing. Apparently they had something to talk about with her. Oriana's first guess was about potential suitors. They had been working on this since she was old enough to talk.
Once the pure torture of her waist being pulled into submission was finished, Oriana followed her orders to meet with her parents in the library, luckily her first lesson was there as well, they were making it easy on her. The guard at the library's entrance bowed, pushing the large door open for her. In the center of the walls of books Oriana met her mother, father and a stranger. Someone whom she didn't recognize the origin of. Had she been slacking in her studies? Oriana bowed to her parents before joining them.
"From now on, Faithe will be your personal guard." Her father had always been the type to get right to the point, he didn't talk much, but it was still more than her mother did. "He comes with excellent credentials. And he is a native to Alies." Going on as if to keep her from arguing. Which wasn't going to happen. Her father was just as stubborn as she could be, though hers was in a more passive aggressive action.
Worry crossed Oriana's face, one that was easy to read. Had things gotten that serious? Smiling softly to lessen the look on her face, Oriana curtsied, it was only polite. "Thank you for your service." That was all her parents needed, and then dismissed themselves for Oriana to go on with her self study. "My family says your from an ally kingdom, may I ask which one?" She inquired as she pulled a few books from separate areas of the near by library. Todays study was practicing arithmetic. Though it wasn't required normally as a future queen, it was necessarily in her herbology learning. Oriana found a couch to curl her legs under herself and lay her books in her lap. "Won't you join me?" She glanced up, and then to a seat adjacent from her. She knew guards were required to be ever vigilant, but Oriana wanted to work this man out.

The first ting that Oriana noticed was that her new protector was no linguist. He spoke in third person but formed okay sentences. It wasn't unusual per say, but Oriana was not expecting it. Then again, she wasn't expecting having a personal guard at all. "It's nice to meet you." She said in a velvet smooth voice, pushing a bit of stray hair behind her ear. Arithmetic was not her strong point but it was a good way to pass the time. Learning was important to her after all.
Her pen and ink moved gently over the stack of paper with little resistance. She calculated gross product form last years trade compared to past years. Last year, they were up several hundred of thousands of coin, lately the travel and trade industry in Demestris was slowing thanks to the near wearing countries. That was at least a fourth of their income. Thinking about the possibility of her working class people being without work troubled her. "Ten years? You can be older than twenty six." Oriana inquired, pulling her thoughts from the worry of her people to the new acquaintance standing beside her. "Either way, thank you for fighting for us." She smiled gently to him, scrawling out numbers and equations shortly again.
When he mentioned how long he could stand for, she visibly changed, impressed. "That's an amazing feat." She was only made to stand for short periods of time, like introductions, or in the company of fellow royals. That was not often. "I tend to be quite fragile." She remarked. Oriana bruised like a ripe peach, and she couldn't run for long. It wasn't necessary. If she had been the boy her family hoped for, she most likely would have gone hunting, and learned of the sword or bow. "What else did they teach you Faithe?" She asked, doodling off to the side of her arithmetic. Oriana could see him with a bow, maybe he would like to go to the grounds on her free period and practice. Then again, there was surly more to him than all warrior.

Oriana watched the males eyes as they trailed her hand as she wrote intricately. In some ways she felt a little embarrassed. The only people who usually watced er that intently where instructors. "Ah, that's unfortunate, I'm sure others would enjoy your company." She stated looking at the male swiftly before looking back at her work. "I'm happy we can speak together as well." Oriana said in a gently tone. They were both speaking very informally, but given that Faithe had never been taught to talk with royals actually, forbid form it, she wasn't going to get upset about it.
Folding her hands in her lap the female felt a sullen feeling wash over her. She ad never felt a true betrayal, sure she had over heard them, but not being too involved with people, it was hard to come by people who would become untrustworthy. "I'm sorry to hear he betrayed you Faithe." Oriana grinned in a soft but almost sad way when he joined her next to him. She didn't want to bring up bad memories for him. There weren't many bad memories for this princess, the worst it got was one of her tutors yelling at her or of her mother when she stopped talking. Oriana didn't know why or how it happened, but she kept her ruby lips closed at almost all times. She wasn't cold, it was just as if she couldn't bring herself to say anything. "I believe it would be amazing to fly, go as you like." She was pretty confined to the castle, unless it was a festival or some kind of duel that her parents let her attend, she was usually here. That was how it was like for many princesses.
The dark blue eyed female looked next to her to see the happy Faithe. She could only grin back at him, collecting her things she set her feet on the floor form being curled under her. "I've always wanted to visit the forest, I don't get out much." She laughed lightly. To walk only in a sundress and bare feet would be great, enjoy the sun shine. "Or maybe tour the markets of Demestris." She rested a palm under her chin as she thought about it. Where did she want to go most?

Faithe was very serious, concentrated on his hands, but his words came out more poetic than he made have thought. It made Oriana smile, plus it was nice to feel protected. "I'm sure you'll keep me safe." She smiled brightly at him, eyes closed, almost child like. She could be that way, naive at times, but blindly kind. "Thank you." She told him, rubbing her hands together, and then folded them back in her lap. She tended to have ice cold hands thanks to her thin stature.Being tall and thin meant poor blood circulation.
Oriana closed her eyes, picturing the scene. I would like that, the sun on my face, wind in my hair." A perfect blue sky over head, bright white clouds floating overhead, a great summer day in Demestris. Possibly sitting under a large tree with a book. That sounds like a great time. "We should go this afternoon, if you're with me, there shouldn't a problem." Oriana tossed, standing from her seat on the couch. "Let's head to my next lesson." The light brunette said, scooping her books into her arms. Walking to a self she placed it back where it was to be and then walked some bit down and grabbed a thick brown book.
She smiled and waved for him to follow as she left the for the library door. A guard opened it for her as she waited for Faithe to get to her side, when he did she started for a hall. On the way, she looked up at him, "I warn you, my next teacher is a very stubborn old man." She told him, Kan was a bearded man from the Dales. He was no warrior like must Dales, but he did have the attitude.

Oriana was oblivious to possible discrimination form her human guards, she hadn't had a whole lot of exposure to such a thing. But surely if she had any idea she would quip it out immediately. She was a very fair person after all. Something she did notice was the chime of a bell as they walked. It was something that was clear sounding to her, crisp like an autumn morning. "True, Dalish is hard though." She remarked as some guards opened a large door to bright room, windows letting the late summer warmth into the large room. A short older man stood, arms crossed at the windows as they entered.
Oriana extended her arm to him, the small man grasping at er elbow and shook once. "Pozdrav Conwat." She greeted before withdrawing her hand and taking a seat. The man seemed satisfied, taking a seat across from her, passing a large pamphlet of words in a foreign tongue. The female pickewd up a pen, dipping it in ink, writting what she knew. "Wom is the stranger." The male watched him, he had met many a creature, maybe even a lynxman. Oriana's eyes never moved from her writings. "Moja straže, majka i otac ga je imenovao." She was always expected to speak Dalish in front of him, never her tongue.
Oriana felt guilty that Faithe couldn't understand thing, she glanced at him from her work, getting a scolding from her teacher. A ruler slapped firmly on the table to draw her attention. It caused her to jump, startling her a little.
