It hadn't been long since the last recording of history was witnessed and written down. It wasn't at all, before the watcher felt a 'tug' of adventure; in another direction of the same part of land. This new direction was even hotter then the last. The scorched earth, ruby blistering hue, filled the Tealed eye flyer all the way to the horizon, where jagged and erupting mountains kissed the sky, with their ever moving peaks.
With every warm breath that panted past his restricted maw, the Chronicler's thirst grew even more. One would think it was for water, but nay. It was a thirst for another tale to record, as doing so was just as refreshing as a drink of pure spring water to the soul. His soul longed to be quenched, but to remain every thirsty. So, for now with every taxed beat of this wing, his thirst grew for what more the Weaver wished to show him. With every flap, he drew nearer to his goal....
It wasn't long before two souls were sensed in the distance, and sharp eyes picked up the two b'alam. His own soul picked up the spirits and could tell that one was a nahtill and the other tahtll.
Hmm...
With a turn and til of his wing, The Chronicler adjusted his course to land. As paws touched down, and rough callous paws were quick to feel the heat of the earth under him. Even past the thick skin, the heat at first was a bit alarming and much hotter then it had been miles away. Obviously telling him that he was closer to the lava flowing mountains and the heart of the fire tribe. With a quick little hop, the tahtll made like a awkward cub that was learning to walk for the first time. One paw quickly up after the other, in a weird little jolt to the sky. With a hop, his wings lifted him in the air for a moment of sweet relief. It wasn't long until each pad was crisp with familiarity to the excessive warmth, as he landed. Quickly he found refuge behind a rather large jagged rock. The shade if offered, however to his unpleasant surprise did not give any mercy. Looking down past the eye holes of the Chronicler's mask, at the ground as he realized that the heat, didn't come from the sun-but the actual earth! Sweat beaded even more so under his fur. It truly was even hotter.
How Fascinating!
Pulling out the journal past it's protective satchel, it neatly folded out before him. It was at that moment that he took in the wear that the book had already started to collect. Even though, it felt like it only have been yesterday that he had taken the trip back home to get a new journal. It was fascinating how it seemed that each journal entry seemed to be longer then the last. It was nothing to complain about, and actually pretty neat! Pulling out the ink well, a soft content breath hushed softly behind the mask. He was relived that, unlike the journal it was still for the most part full. Strange. Hmm....Something to consider at a later time. Revealing and freeing the quill form his pouch, there was a soft 'pop' that left the ink well as it was uncorked. Carefully dipping the writing tool, in the ink the smell of charcoal filled his nostrils, deliciously. It's trademark smell, was only rival by the smell of the pages of his filled journal. How he loved the smell.
Placing Ink and quill to the page, it quickly danced about as if a unseen paw guided each and every careful mark.
Teal eyes watched careful to the scene that was played out before him. Each and every moment was written carefully on the page. These two characters, seemed to be rather important. The recorder could see why the Weaver seemed to have singled these two out for him to see. That was not to say that any other b'alam weren't as important, he was sure that perhaps his other phen and pal were recording their actions. Though....of course, the number of how meany of them and others were lacking in comparison. Perhaps it was best to dwell on other things...
There was so meany stories to record.
The Tahtll before him, with a mask of his own, had a very commanding presents. Admittedly it was hard for even the skilled watcher to look away from him. He was a natural leader, his spirit seemed to radiated it. It was almost like he was compiled to follow this stranger just by looking at him and watching the demanding stare, that too was shadowed by metal work. Very familiar metal work it seemed....Or he could assumed, perhaps it's craftier was nearby....
The Nahtil, her spirit was strong as well. They both were powerful figures. Aside, from the magus he has met and come to know personaily, these two seemed to have a inward power that rival any other b'alam. One that even seemed to almost challenge others to try and be stronger. Like they dared them to do so. Yet the sensed arrogance about them, knew that their 'opponent' would fail them if they found the courage to try. What was even more telling, was that their opponent...nay-prey knew it.
What Strength, indeed....
Releasing a breath, The Chronicler smiled. These two surely would be showing up more in his recordings. It was even more telling that they would be making history. This was only the beginning. How lucky, was the recorder to be able to witness such a thing. He could only hope that the Weaver would guide him to witness meany more of their events.
The chronicler's tail shifted in private thought, as a twitch of his ear was care to make sure that no one was nearby. His body remained low to the ground to make sure that he wasn't seen....
