"He can try it. Dragon's only need food from their mother for a couple days." She said smiling as she got herself a fish kabob and started eating it. She was so hungry right now but would restrain herself from eating like a savage. Ryu tilted his head a bit at the fish but took a bite of Shou's before he went for another kabob for himself loving how it tasted.

Shou Hiryuu

Shou held the kabob down towards Ryu, curious to see if he would try it, and sure enough the little dragon took a bite before wanting more. Shou let out a chuckle "Well, he seems to like it." Shou smiled, moving a fish away from the fire so Ryu wouldn't accidentally burn himself. Taking a bite out of the fish, it suddenly hit Shou that he was starving, then he remembered that it had been a while since they had eaten. With everything going on, plus the whole being captured and stuff, the group had't really had time to eat. It was nice out and Shou couldn't help but to smile a bit remembering all the times he had gone camping with his mother. "We'll find a cave or something for the night after we finish eatting. There's a mountain to the North East that has caves that we can stay in. Would that be alright?" Shou asked taking another bite out of his fish.

Celeste laughed a bit as well when Ryu started eating the fish. "Sure does." She said smiling as she ate her own fish. "That's fine by me. We used to live in a cave so it will be a welcomed sight." She said smiling. Before long, Ryu finished his share of the fish and curled up in Shou's lap. Celeste smiled loving how her son seemed to love Shou as he would his own father. She had to admit that she was falling for Shou, even if he was human. She felt some sort of love whenever she was with him, but didn't say anything. Was this her husband's way of telling her to move on? She had to know if it was for sure.

Shou Hiryuu

Shou smiled as he looked down at Ryu who had cuddled back into his lap. The little guy seemed to really like having him around, and Shou wasn't afraid to admit that he was incredibly fond of having Ryu and Celeste around. Once they had finished eating, Shou picked up Ryu who was still in his lap, before standing up and looking at Celeste. She really was beautiful and when you add in her kind and loyal personality, Shou had started thinking that he'd fallen for her. The only thing was that he wasn't sure if Celeste had gotten over her late husband. "Ready to head out?" he asked with a smile.

Celeste nodded as she got up putting out the fire. She made sure to throw them off by cooling it far enough and drying up the extra water. Then she held Ryu and smiled as he cuddled up to her in her arms ready for bed. She loved her baby very much and only wished that his father was here, but was glad that she had Shou now.

Shou Hiryuu

Once Celeste had finished dealing with the fire, Shou passed Ryu over to her. Giving a stretch he spoke "Alright, lets get going then." he smiled leading his horse back to the caravan and getting it attached before he took his place at the reins. As soon as Celeste and Ryu had settled in, the journey continued.

After another couple hours, the caravan came to a halt outside cave entrance. The trail he had taken would make it near impossible for the knights to track them to the caves, knowing that Shou let out a small sigh of relief. Detaching his horse from the caravan he spoke "Here we are." he said with a smile.

He loved these caves, his mother use to bring him here all the time and the two would camp out and explore the tunnels. Eventually, Shou ended up memorizing the tunnels system. Placing a hand on the wall of the cave, Shou gave a small smile memories coming back to him.

Celeste noticed the far away look in Shou's eyes. She smiled and said "You must have some wonderful memories here." as she held the sleeping Ryu in her arms. She couldn't help but think it was sweet of him to protect her and Ryu even at the cost of his own life, with the word life being in the way he lived. She couldn't help it, she kissed his cheek and said "Thanks for everything Shou. I'm sure your mother would be very proud of you." She then smiled at him blushing a bit but it wasn't too noticeable.

Shou Hiryuu

Shou snapped out of his thoughts as Celeste spoke and gave a small laugh slightly embarrassed. When she kissed him on the cheek, Shou's face turned a bit red, he definitely hadn't been expecting that. "Like I said it's no problem, really." Shou replied as Celeste thanked him again for his help. His heart was pounding against his chest slightly before he looked away at the cave to try and hide the redness. "Yeah, my mother use to bring me here all the time. She said that this is where she met my father, weird spot if you ask me." Shou stated with a small chuckle before leading the way in. The entrances were pretty dark but deeper in the cave were crystals that gave off a small light.

It didn't take long for them to arrive to a large clearing in the mountain, the walls went up fairly high before hitting the ceiling. Scattered around the walls and some of the rocks on the floor were crystals that gave off a calming blue light. No matter how many times he saw it, the sight of this cave always awed him. "We can rest here." Shou said turning his sight back onto Celeste the redness gone from his face now.

Celeste was amazed at the glow of the crystals. "This is beautiful." She said smiling as they came into the opening. Then when he said his father met his mother here, she replied with "Well I don't think so if you ask me. Then again it's not uncommon for dragons to meet each other in caves." She smiled at that as she helped to set up a fire and bed for herself and Ryu. She set Ryu under the blanket before making a small warm fire that would go out once they were asleep. She then curled herself around Ryu as she turned into a dragon and fell asleep almost immediately. Ryu however woke up in the middle of the night and went over to Shou cuddling up to him. Celeste woke up feeling Ryu stirring but smiled and let Ryu rest with Shou knowing that Ryu loved Shou a lot.

Shou Hiryuu

Shou smiled a bit "Yeah this area was always my favorite." he replied looking around the place, a calm feeling settling in. As he prepared a spot for himself to sleep, Celeste and Ryu got their own place set and got a small fire lit. He couldn't stop thinking about Celeste's comment about how dragon's tend to meet in caves. Once Celeste and Ryu got settled into their bed, Shou laid down quickly passing out, not realizing just how tired he had been.

At some point during the night, Shou felt something snuggling up next to him and opened his eyes a bit to see Ryu. Smiling, Shou raised the blanket a bit and drew Ryu close to his body. He loved having the tiny dragon around and Ryu seemed to like him as well.
