User ImageSahar had traveled quite a bit today, and she was proud of that fact. Something about seeing the different areas in the world was incredibly entertaining to the small Nantlil. She loved to awaken to a new day and not know what exactly to expect when it came to the next area she would find herself in. She could find a bird-creature or she could come across an abandon log in the forest- which she would use as a playground for fun until it bored her. Or maybe she would find a pleasant stream where she could take a drink or a tasty lizard that she could eat.

Yet, despite being captivated with interest at her world Sahar was hardly a perfect explorer. If anything, she was the imagine of what an explorer should hope they never become. The small black and red striped b'alam was incredibly timid when it came to her own species. She just... She didn't know what to think of them. She was frightened of them. They were bigger and even those her own size were mean based on the experience that Sahar had encountered with them. She didn't think of course that all b'alam played mean jokes like those two had but... She didn't really want to take the chance again. She didn't want to be tricked and chased into a corner out of fear for something that wasn't going to happen.

So even if she was a self-proclaimed explorer Sahar was also very cautious. Even now, walking in the forest she looked left and right trying to see if she could spot any b'alam in the area she would go out of her way to avoid.

Of course though, she was tinier than a typical b'alam having awoken as a cub. She couldn't see up high in the branches of trees if anyone was sitting in them, and she couldn't see what waited over the small hill she was climbing over simply because she was so small. Which made her habit of looking out for new b'alam sort of useless, didn't it?

The large gray B'alam let out a soft growl. Why did he insist on following him everywhere? He was so annoying! Pushing through the the bushes that surrounded him, he tried to snake his way away from the louder, bright orange B'alam that followed him. His gray pelt allowed him to blend in with the shadows easier, and his dark golden horns blended with the dappled light pushing through the treetops. All he had wanted was a nice, uninterrupted walk through the forest. But this other B'alam had awoken nearby, and proceeded to latch himself onto the larger gray male.

He shoved his way through another bush and over a hill, almost colliding with a smaller cub in front of him. Letting out a short growl, his fur bristled as he stared down at her. "Watch it, Nantlil!" he hissed, snarling at her as he skirted around her, almost stepping on her tail as she tried to back away from him. Grunting, he lifted a large gray paw to gently nudge her out of the way and off to the side. He didn't have time to be messing with a cub! Even if she did seem smaller than most others.

Speaking of, she really did seem smaller. As the orange guy pushed through the bushes behind him, K'ragle, the large gray male, turned a golden eye curiously on the small black B'alam he had previously pushed aside. He noted her smaller size and her pelt quickly, trying to figure out if she was new or not. K'ragle didn't much pay attention to the little ones around him, but this one was intriguing. He bristled again at the orange male, rolling his golden eyes at his tone as he sat and licked a paw, dragging it over his head. "She should have been watching where she was going! .... Hey, wait, now you two can adventure together, and you can finally leave me alone!" His eyes lit up gleefully, but the look the other male gave him let him know he wouldn't be alone so soon.

He had woken up in a strange place, with trees on all sides. The male pulled himself from amongst the roots he was sleeping beneath and looked around. Shaking his orange pelt free of dirt, orange eyes took in his surroundings. It was beautiful! Everything was so bright and vibrant, and the world smelled amazing. He looked around gleefully, spotting a dark gray pelt through the underbrush. Bounding over, he found another like himself. But he wasn't received very well. Not taking no for an answer, the younger and slightly smaller orange B'alam followed after the larger gray one, pelting him with questions about this place.

Needless to say, he didn't get any answers. But he continued to talk on, not swayed by this male's cold demeanor. That is, until he came across an unsettling scene. The larger male had gotten ahead of him and run into a small cub. Orange eyes lit up with worry as he dashed over to the young female, glaring at the large male across from him. "Hey, be nice! You've only met the poor dear, and you've already frightened her!" Then again, he had only just met the larger male. Sitting beside the small female and wrapping his tail protectively around her, he smiled down at her.

"Hello! I'm sorry, but I'm new here. So far, the only thing I've figured out is that he can be a big brute," he said, eyes shifting to the other male for a moment. "What's your name, and what are you doing out here alone? I mean, I was alone too, woke up somewhere nearby, but you're so small! You shouldn't be traveling alone!"

Sahar was tempted to scream out of fear when K'ragle almost ran into her. A big scary grown up b'alam! What made it worse was he yelled at her too!

She attempted to will herself to back up away from the gray big b'alam, but she just... couldn't. Was he going to eat her? Sahar didn't want to get eaten! She let out a small yelp as he made this all the more easy by simply shoving her to the side.

O-oh. He just wanted her to move? So he wasn't going- "GAH!" She couldn't help it, the noise had just escaped her lips! Sahar leaped up in surprise as another big towering B'alam came out of nowhere. Oh no, had she stumbled on a pack of the giants or something? She was all for adventure but intruding on giant lands wasn't exactly her version of a good adventure. Mostly because she was still convinced they'd try and eat her.

She relaxed a bit when the orange b'alam simply curled up around her and began to talk. Ah, so, they were... Passing through? This big one had just awoken? Strange, she figured that those who just awoke would be tiny like her but maybe it was the other way around... Was she just really short?

Sahar pushed all those questions aside for later and instead focused on the current ones she was being asked now. The little cub folded her ears back slightly and lowered herself further to the ground as the orange Tahtlil looked at her. "I... M-my name's Sahar. I was just um... Exploring. Around here..."
