"You are right," she said gravely. Her eyes glowed again as she talked tot he tree. "He can hear you, sort of. I do not really understand it. He says he appreciates you." Hollandaise hummed for a second and then reached out to pull Chaya closer to the trunk. It was neither deftly nor gracefully done.
"This is the tree I nap most in. It is comfortable and I have not fallen out yet." Hollandaise reached up to scratch Chaya's ears.
