the canned ones are hard to get right. It is difficult to get them to a soft, tender, and palatable, non-fibrus structure that would not make one sick to his/her/mx stomach... emotion_puke Also they feel like slugs in your hand...

Ick no, no, no. Don't by canned mushrooms. You want mushrooms buy fresh. Some veggies (though a mushroom isn't a veggie but whatever)are fine canned. Mushrooms are not.
Reminds me of this time I oven-cooked these frozen breaded mushrooms. They were SO BAD. Like biting into a soggy coated, mushroom juice-explosion. emotion_puke
