Amira had spent some time wandering around on her own and it was beginning to take its toll. She was lonely. The only others of her kind she had seen had been Bikendi and a handful of others, but that was a while ago and she had been separated from them for longer than she cared to admit. Once or twice she had caught glimpses of others, but for whatever reason she had passed them by without a word. For the most part she surrounded herself with trees. Now she stepped out from beneath their shadowy branches and into the bright sunlight. Grass stretched before her in a golden sea, speckled here and there with bits of green that she took to be trees. "Whoa..." This was beyond anything she had seen before and her turquoise eyes widened in wonder and awe.
She hoped that eventually she would come across another, someone she could talk to and joke with, perhaps discover more beautiful things this world had to offer. Amira felt she had been asleep for so long, wandering on her own with no one by her side. A lonely existence is not much of an existence to Amira. After a moment of hesitation, she stepped further out from beneath the trees sniffed at the grass around her curiously, taking in the scents that wafted over the breeze.
