No matter how much Van thought he had escaped the grumpkin infestation in his room, he never really had. Standing outside Kier's room, knocking on the door after a pause, Rose peeked out from inside his hoodie: his desu grumpkin was more than a little inquisitive. She nosed the side of his neck, which made him jump, and burst into laughter, gripping his guitar case strap slung across his chest tighter for a second.
"Rose! You're gonna give me a bad rep and I only JUST got here!!" Van yelped, laughing as he tried to snag her from inside his hood. He cleared his throat and tried to look casual at the door, but every now and then he'd giggle again as Rose squirmed in his hoodie.
"I'd better be at the right place," he muttered to himself, grimacing, as he rocked back and forth on his canvas top shoes and considered texting her. He was really, really excited, and not just about the music. He really liked being around Kier. She was the best accidental friend he had ever made.
Oh yes, Kier. he already considered you a friend, kier, watch out. Van's enthusiasm seemed to bowl everyone over, even without liking them already-- Van thought, his face growing warm and red, of how Kier didn't seem to mind his personality.
That was a nice, and rare, feeling for the demon pup.

As he waited, time seemed to stop; the instant she opened the door, however, all that had vanished and he felt as though he'd only been standing there for a heartbeat. She looked half asleep, but that certainly did not stop him from wrapping his arms around her in a huge, enthusiastic hug and lifting for a second.
Which actually kinda hurt, he was not as strong as he wished he was. That would be a later endeavour.
"Cool if I sit?" he asked, grinning and pointing to a section of floor or mess or something. "So stoked to play! We could even write our own songs, right?? That'd be AWESOME," Van exclaimed, flopping onto his back and stretching his arms out, his eyes shut in bliss as he pictured music.
