The soft rustling of leaves, the creaking of branches moving about, and the soft tapping of rain were all Constantine had to greet him into this world. Everything was at first bright, but soon mellowed down into a dull gray to match the overcast sky. It wasn't as dreary as one might think, instead, the constant tapping of the rain on the grass and leaves was soothing to the mind.

Constantine turned his sights upward, toward the gentle syphony of the weather. He couldn't help but notice how massive the tree was! It's truck was so thick he couldn't possibly hope to wrap his paws around it! It could have taken several of him just to barely touch claw-tips. Further up there was a grand canopy of thick branches and leaves, all of which created a shield from the rain. A drop or two passed by, but not a single drop meet with his orange and white fur.

From the deep-green canopy of the tree he followed the trail of branches outward until his eyes meet with a slight different color, gray. Just past the leaves the sky was blurred by the shower, but caused an enchanting silvery color to overtake the sky and vast field. This seemed to be the only tree, a giant among the flat plains.

The grass just past the tree was a softer green than the leaves, and appeared to be elbow high. When the wind ran across them, they bent and waved and appeared to shine before they rolled back into position, than repeated the cycle.

It was, again, most enchanting!

Constantine turned his sapphire eyes back to himself, a light-colored wing stretched out and flexed so each of the feathers had a chance to dance in the slight breaze as the leaves had.

Was it the same thing? Was he like the tree? ... no, something told him that wasn't true. He was different. He was a B'alam, not a plant. The thing behind him was a grand tree. Where was this information coming from? Somehow, he had a good feeling about that too. He just knew.

Platinum blonde strands of hair danced gently amongst the breeze, fluttering across a stone-gray face. Eyes still closed, one would think the creature in question was dead, her fur and wings swaying to and fro. Not quite under the massive canopy above, the right side of this creature was slowly getting soaked with rain water. It wasn't much, but with each drop hitting her light silver fur, it soon began to roll off. Her fur was becoming matted, the fur on her right side still rather springy. Light silver wings on her backside easily pushed the assault of water away, staying smooth and ready to present themselves for the creature's awakening.

With leaves tumbling about and sticking to her side, the sleeping female B'alam looked like such a mess. She looked as if she had been dumped off and was just waiting for the right moment to come along. Perhaps that was all apart of the plan though. Perhaps... That plan was already beginning to unfold.

Constantine's ears twitched and swiveled to the sudden rustling coming from the other side of the tree. The sound was different from the wind rustling the long grass outside the tree or the leaves above. Something else was rustling them. He drew in a deep breath before rising to his paws.

There was something over there. It had a different feeling to it. He could sense it. It was like him, but not. Different but the same? Intriguing all the same.

His wings tucked against his frame while he walked around the truck of the tree. Bright Sapphire eyes cautiously swept back and fourth over the area, trying to see what his mind had felt.

"...."

There, as a half-soaked statue was another. It looked like him somewhat. perhaps a bit smaller? It was hard to judge from where he was standing, and she was laying. She. Yes, it was a female, a different spirit than his own.

"Greetings?" Constantine called from halfway around the tree. Somehow, that seemed the proper thing to say.

The words of another echoed through her skull. Her tan-colored ears flicked just ever so slightly; the purple tip of her tail twitching. Grunting and groaning, she shifted, barely moving from the spot she was already lying in. Her left wing slumped off from her back, now half lying upon the ground. Her body gave off both a weak and a tired expression. Even in her current state however, the greeting from the B'alam on the other side of the massive tree trunk was enough to begin her awakening process.

"Nngghh..."

She groaned a bit more, her slumped over wing reaching out slightly behind her.

Constantine's eyes widened to the lack of response. Was there something wrong? He had not woken up like this. His own haunches were on the ground and paws were straight. The other didn't -seem- off, but the sight was still curious.

Very cautiously he took a few more steps forward, his head lowered just slightly to get a better view. His ears flicked forward.

"Is... is all well?" He inquired just as cautiously as his steps.

As the male B'alam drew nearer, it seemed as if more life was breathed into the female. Her once grasping wing recoiled back to her backside. Her grunts stopped completely and her groaning became a bit less hostile sounding. Her tan ears now swiveled a bit, keying in on the male drawing nearer to her. She raised her head slightly, shaking it a bit, her locks of platinum gold hair swaying over her face.

"Hmmm...?"

Grayed over eyes appeared from underneath her gray eyelids, blinking slowly, squinting at the rolling plains in front of her that had the gentle rain falling upon it. The male B'alam seemed to go unnoticed to her.

Constantine found his paws planted in the ground while he watched this curious B'alam. This would be the fist time he had seen anyone else (He had only been awake for a few minutes). But he could simply tell this one was different than he was, yet the same? Somehow that just made sense.

His wings shifted nerviously a bit before he crained his neck to get a better look at the other. Why not just go near? He had no idea...

"Ah... are you able to speak?" Constantine inquired very carefully, unsure of even his own words.

While all his focus was upon the other spirit, his tail flicked about behind him. This would later be realized as a strange occurance that happened when he was utterly confused. The constant rythem helped him think, or just brught a sense of familiarity to an unfamiliar situation.

The female B'alam turned her head and looked over at the golden male, her gray eyes blinking. She was... Unsure, at best. She didn't know who he was or where she was, much less who she was or why this other B'alam was here. Still, something told her not to be afraid of him. Something was telling her it was alright. She wasn't sure if this feeling was true or not... But with every fiber of her being willing her to trust him, she would try.

She nodded at the male's question, opening and closing her mouth some in an attempt to figure it out. "Yyy... Yes. Yes." A small smile appeared on her face, similar to that of a pleased child. "Yes, I can." Curiosity began to overtake her though. "Who are y-you?" Whilst asking him, she attempted to stand, her legs wobbling... Her front claws digging into the ground in order to support herself.

Constantine's ears perked forward as he finally received a response that he could comprehend. This one could speak! And in a voice much different than his own. Not that he was expecting her to have the same voice, but it was still a pleasant discovery none the less.

He waited to respond to her inquired until she begun to move. Did she need help?

"Constantine is my name." He spoke with certainty. Yes, something told him that was correct, even if it was his first time uttering it.

Finally he moved forward, ready to help the other should she need help getting to her feet. His frame hunched a bit while his head ducked just lower. All four paws spred just slightly for solid purchase in his stance. He could catch her if she fell.

"...and who are you?" Constantine repeated her question, probably just as curious as she.

Constantine... That was a nice name. Or so she thought. Yes, it was nice. It wasn't like she really had any other names to compare it to... But she still believed it to be nice. What was a name, exactly? Perhaps it was... Something to identify one's self with. If that was the case, what was her name?

"Isis. That is my name." Yes, that was who she was. She knew it to be true. Did she know why? No, but that was alright. "I like your name, Constantine. I think it... It fits you." She ended her sentence with a smile. This one was different though. This one was not that of a child-like nature. No... This one was more of a gentle soul.

Not having even realized it, Isis was now standing; no problems at all. Her wings were calmly sitting upon her backside, her right side still rather drenched from the soft raindrops. "Do you know where we are?"

Much like the surprise of the other, Constantine found himself equally in awe of the title that she had been given. It was a perfect fit! At least, it seemed so. Perhaps the sounds fit her facial features very well. Was that something that could be mentioned without reprocussions?

"W-... Why thank you" He nodded a short bow, feeling honored that she felt his name was most fitting. "I like your name as well, Isis. It seems most fitting to your face."

He cleared his throat immidiately after his response. Appropriate or not, the words seemed to have fallen from his maw and were not out in the open. His tail flicked about nerviously as he combatted with the idea of "wrong word choices". Thankfully she was quick to follow up with another question.

Constantine looked up at the tree, than to the gray sky and back again to Isis. Nope, he really had no clue either.

"Ah, saddly no. I do not know where I am... but that is normal? I suppose. This is the first time being anywhere. It will be some time before we can know where we currently stand." He answered to the best of his abiliteis. Which was at least decent enough? Or so he hoped.

"I do believe we are safe, however."
