The over there was perhaps a bit more forceful than necessary.

It was the thorns that curled up and around the paper this time.

Unfortunately, the armor had....a great deal of stamina. And also at this point, possibly a personal vendetta in order to cut the problem down at its source, once and for all.

Dazed, he shook his head before he went for another run, this time going for the back of the creature's legs. He turned his shoulder out and rammed his body into the knight.

"Listen," Barth reasoned through a furious stab, "I like automatons as much as the next person."

The knight turned, raising it's leg and going to stomp, but Calder must moved and rammed the other leg instead, throwing his body into the contraption in hopes of toppling it over.

"But enough is...is quite enough," the vines tested the armor, writhing up through the joints.

When the spear came, Calder dodged, moving back and waiting for the impact. It shook the ground under his hooves and when it landed into the stone floor, Calder moved in and went to kick the spear.

It fell down, but the knight was quick to lean down and work to picking it up. Calder made a dash to hit it's head.

"And it is my, professional opinion-" Barth furthered through the desperate blows, the black things coiling everywhere.

"That you should take a break," Barth said, coldly. The vines dispatched with the armor entirely.

"And rest a while," he suggested, half to the dissipated guardian and half to himself. He ran a claw through his hair, tired and barely holding himself together.

Shakily, he stood, and with his own claw, reached out to take the paper- now strangely on his level (when it had seemed so impossibly far away before).

"Yes, well," he said, turning the paper over. "I am that. On occasion." He rolled the paper carefully, then placed it in his breast pocket.

Unfortunately, what all this meant was that his troubles (or opportunities, depending on how you looked at it) were just beginning.

When Calder went to aim for knocking the helmet off the knight, he instead hit the arm and fell right onto the ground, landing on his back painfully.

The knight rose back up, spear in hand, and aimed.

Finisher: ANOTHER :LKFJDALJFLKAD 2!!!!!!!!

He rolled out of the way with a yelp before scrambling back to his hooves and running back. He made a wide circle before reaching the knight's back and going for another ramming attack.

As he rammed the knight, he then turned to stomp on it's boot, but that did more damage to Calder than having any affect on the knight.

As the knight continued trying to jab and stab near him, Calder continued to run and move around the knight's feet.

When the spear came near, he jumped up and went to biting on the hand, but then pulled back when his teeth bite into metal.

"AWWWHHH!! Why can't you be alive thing!" He whined, before kicking it with both hooves and jumped off.

Calder was nearly gone, his body worn from constant abuse. He had thrown and kicked and bite and it was like fighting a living wall. There was no give, but after a while, even the strongest wall could crack.

Panting hard and bruised all over, his bones singing with the pain from hitting a hard object over and over, he ducked low before kicking off and throwing his body again at the leg of the creature.

And this time, he didn't stop. The parts locked, then shattered and piece by piece the knight fell to pieces in a shower of armor parts all around him,

Covering his head, Calder dodged before he sank to his knees and panted, a hot sweat all over him as he wanted to just lay down and take a breather.

As if to help him out, the diploma sank down to him and he took it.

"Calder The Triumphant." Calder said out loud before sighing and flopping back on the ground, looking up and taking deep breathes.

He wanted a bath. Everything hurt all over.
